no mater if show this message.... your receiver must be in stand by....

Look at the back off the STB on the top left hand side and you will see a switch that you can us to turn off and on. If it the same as the CIS.

You might want to update the how to, as it contains obselete information on internet updates, changing servers, etc. which would be misleading to newbies.
