Yes, you should have a card showing if your receiver is HD?
Das Erste HD: vpid: 6110
ZDF HD: vpid 6110
no audio yet, both start transmission on 15/8/2009
if you dont get picture on this transponder?
4 stations on this one!

arte HD
HD-Test ARD ZDF <= great for testing your flatscreen

check the setting
Transmission: DVB-S2 8PSK not DVB-S2 QPSK
Fec: 2/3 not auto
Pilot: On (could be 1 or mark V, X that selection)

I bought a cheap box for HD a Bush just to play around with.
It's fine on the Freesat EPG stuff but if I input Non Freesat additional channels on 19E say German HD channels or even some SD channels it's a bit buggy.
I might install ARTE HD and a couple of others. I then go to a different sat say 5W and input a few SD French channels and it sometimes then knocks out the German HD channels and it says no service when I go to the channel. I then reinstall the German HD channels but it says Channels found ( let's say 5) channels installed 0.
That's because they are already installed.
But if I go back the German ones are now working again.

Weird.

But for the main Freesat stuff on the EPG it's fine.

how many channels are stored? could be a limit there?
remove unused satellite positions (delete) will save some memory.
when move from satellite (dish) do you also select that satellite in its setup?
when searching only search on the selected satellite and not several satellites.
hope this is of some help to you

It's a basic receiver cost £67.

You can't go to a specific sat and download all the channels.

You can have your sat plugged in and put in the frequency and you get mabye ten channels downloaded.

Put in another frequency and get another ten channels downloaded.

Obviously with a fully fledged sat receiver you have a lot more scope.

It's OK just to see a few HD channels from the UK and Germany.

I'm hoping there will be lots of free HD channels from Europe soon as here in the UK I think lots of free HD will be a long time coming.

I will be buying a proper HD fully functional receiver later on.
