a few quick questions if I may ?

1) has anyone successfully used the tm9100 to update an older blue card ?

2) does the new white card work ok in this box ? and with which images or emus ? , does it update ok ?

3) if there are any voltage modifications required , what are they please ?

I can answer question 2.

New white card works with NewCs 1.66 or higher but does not update the card.

No box updates the card yet.

usually its about once a month or so

as for the tm9100 , I have been using the blue card ok in UR18 and newcs 1.65 which still works ok , but the new white card is currently in the pace sly box where it should be ;)

Don't have my card yet so I can not give you a tried and tested reply.
I do know that the new cards do not work in a smargo.

I have read reports that people are using the DM800 ok with not modification but as you know I would rather test and confirm this myself.:cool:

I tried my white card some time ago before the option of newcs1.66, it didnt work well and got hot quick so i removed it and not tried since.
Also would not show the premium channels as it paired to my samsung box.
My blue card was switched from box to box so not sure about the update.
Many say there is a voltage issue, but some say there is not, i,ve been reading loads on the azbox premium, and dm8000. as will be getting one of them some time this year but both have issues that means i just cann't choose one over the other yet, but hope they get them sorted. Both seem not to like the white card, az diablo and cccam, dm picture quality being rated as poor amongst other bits.

the new tm 600 linux works a treat with the new white card and doesnt overheat and cheaper to buy, and its a brand new box on the market not like the 9100 that is yrs old, not that im slagging the 9100 it has been a great box for me but things move on, the tm600 wipes the floor with any dreambox at the moment cant understand y we havnt got a section for it yet, fantastic box only downside is they still havnt brought out a hd linux box, but im sure they will, them technomate will blow the market away

tr8 mate i ahv found that the new tm600 works better with the new white cards than the old blue ones and opens all the prime channels without a problem with the right setting alot of hard work but mastered it

and as far as cs havnt drop 1 ecm in over a week

echelon m8 if its help my white card has been going strong in a db500 since Sunday. I checked card last night and no sign of any burn marks.

Running card at 3.57mhz.


Like carddealer I and my friends have not had any bad ecms at all, only downside is no way to update card yet so it will have to go back in official receiver each month.

Just a update my white card has packed up today, and it was in the original samsung box, after ages on the phone and them sending reactivation they are now sending a new card to me. Luckily had not got rid of old blue card it had stoped updating but after giving sky loads of grief they have reactivated it while i wait for the replacement card and £10 off next month for all the time spent on the phone.
So may be my card was fauly anyway.

I have to say I use this box as my main box for months now and it's still the best SD box iv'e ever owned. The box don't give me any problems with my blue or white sky cards using EDG Nemesis 4.2. I use the the image on a memory card to and it's very stable.

I use a tm9100 standard with the dual boot and edg nemesis v4.4 , and this will reboot if it sees ecm,s etc , but is usually ok with a local blue card

my main box is another tm9100 runing ur18 in the flash , and this rarely fails at all 9 I dont usually have images in the flash ) , and it has 2 card readers not one , so is very useful to me for those reasons alone ;)

I do have a dm800HD box ( single card reader ) with oozoon in the flash and running various images on a usb stick off a usb hub I fitted , and that box never , never reboots and is extremely stable , and runs ok off a local blue card , and most of these are only running due to the help and advice I have received here

obviously I want to run the white card in a main receiver , and so it seems some changes will have to be made to newcs to do this , including addition of a boxkey in an appropriate place. I am not interested in runninga dm500 or a tm500 etc as I will only buy HD receivers from now on , preferably not clones either :)

so thanks for the info so far , but as this is the tm9100 forum its messages from members successfully using a white card in a tm9100 that I am particularly interested in hearing from , otherwise I may have to switch my newcs and new card to the dm800

I have 2 sky cards and one is white and the other is blue. When I used to use my white sky card in my TM9100S I used newcs1.66+cccam 2.1.1 and it run great. No freezing and no over heating, my sky+hd box used to heat the white card up more than the TM9100S. I had to use a box key in the newcs1.66 config file with some settings switched off but after the card worked great. I swapped the white card over for my blue one last month because it had the HD channels on and the sky+hd is the only hd box I have. So I am using my blue card in my TM9100S until sky send me a replacement white card to go in it's place.

Yes TM9100 standard does update the blue card, don't know about the white i haven't got one yet.

I have card in TM500, but have also had it running in TM9100 super. Works fine in either. Clocks a little faster without throwing back bad ECM's in the 9100. 536mhz as opposed to 500mhz. I know there was mention of the cards reverting to the certian speeds, but newcs reports the correct speed for the config file and alteration just throws bad ECM's.

seems to me that all I need is a good example of a working new type of newcs file ( with all private stuff removed or replaced by example1 , example2 as usernames and passes ) , so I can see what mine should now look like as compared to my old one that has worked for the last year with no trouble , so if anyone has one they can add here as a txt or zip file for me to look at I would be obliged , thanks

If you use newcs1.66 with the white card and box key you cannot use the blue card with the box key settings in the config. In order to get the premium channels to work again on the blue card you must remove the entire box key line from the config.

Blue cards update no problem in a 9100 just updated mine with mgcamd 1.31 + newcs 1.67 this card ran out last year

But in the past I have used gbox, cccam + newcs and cccam 1.6.1 on its own

Hmmmmmmm that's strange don't think you could go wrong with CCcam 1.6.1 though hardest part is finding which slot is active as they had a habit of switching them in different firmwares :rolleyes:

Have you tried mgcamd + newcs as that works best for me cccam + newcs used to work but stopped for some reason probably when I switched firmware or something bloody boxes

As long as you have the AU flag on in newcs.xml and the slot listed to use it then it should work

When the box key is left in newcs1.66 it seems to cause problems with the premium channels on the blue cards. I also noticed that if you leave the box key in the config and use the blue card, the cinemagic channels will still open. I was always thought that the cinemagic channels were premuim like the sky movies. So I don't think you require a box key to watch the cinemagic channels with the white cards.

Have you had both card slots working in newcs1.66? I have not got around to using the both card slots yet.

1.6.1 works without newcs but not much good for anything else than watching locally or updating

As I said CCcam + NewCS stopped updating for me also so maybe its the same for you couldn't find out why either it was showing EMMs so don't no why it wasn't updating
