how toput newcamd file in step b step i i got my ip in went into 8281 thats were i am stuck think i have put all the info in correct but still not conecting i have ping it so ther end is active just its not on here i am using lan conection any 1 got any photo help may also be helpfull this is somthing that i think all woit from lads :)

there is no newcamd file to put in there?
you have to enter the details of your newcamd server in the fields shown in the menus opend by 8 2 8 1. works only with newcamd.
you have to make sure these details get out of your local network and use portforwarding or other way to pass your router

i have the information that i need ie te newcamd addeies but it just wont conect to them they r online because i have pingrd them i just need to no if i am putting the thing in wright place on the 8281 menu some pictures would help i think i have done it wright but its not opening m8

if the box is not connecting or stays disconnected some info is not ok. If all the info is in the correct places and you press connect what happens?
Is the router setup to let the TM have access on the internet?

from the remote while viewing a channel press 8 2 8 1
you should see the menu S e r v e r L i s t
with remote cursor select 1st location
press OK
S e r v e r E d i t should open
T i m e o u t: 3 sec (time to retry making connections)
P r o t o c o l: (is only one option)
I D: user1 (the login you have to access that server, username, ...)
P a s s w o r d: pass1 (for that server)
D E S K E Y: 0102030405060708091011121314 (exactly as given for that server)
A d d r e s s: name of the server like www.satpimps.co.uk or the ip address 74.52.41.90 if given
P o r t: 10000 or 10001

standard straight wired lan ethernet cable should be correct when going to a router from a box ( ie:- not a crossover cable )

no you don't if going by your router, crossed cable is only used for direct communications to pc.

these PM could well have landed in a black hole. Don't think you should use the forum to let anyone know you send a PM to them. If they want the PM, they will see the PM and reply to it if they will.

i have put address id in password screen went black box shut down and when i booted it back up and insetted 8281 most of the boxes changed into somthing that looked aribic and some symbols any idea any one it still says not connected

are you using the new patch dated 28/7? i got the same kind of text when i installed the new patch and cant use any of the editor boxes below number 4. even when i enter the address and everything it remains not connected. only the boxes 1 to 4 can connect. could be just my receiver like that?

First 4 are the only ones that work. Tried all the others, various combinations and settings but 1 to 4 are the only ones that work.
