View Full Version : this spray ok to use on my dish?.

picked up a can of this in my local store,there was no other ones available.would this be ok to spray on my 1.2m dish?.

painted mine a while back using plastikote matt spray paint.

make sure you dont get a metalic or glossy finnish as this reflects more sunlight on to the lnb and can casue dammage

If the Paint DOSEN'T have a lead background then you can use it OK.

just says plasti-kote BBQ ,i can see nothing about metallic or gloss on the can.so i should be ok.

beautiful satin sheen ain't this glossy, try out small part at the back of the dish and see what the finish looks like? Don't know either what the black paint will do, black surface hotter then gray surfaces, dish heat absortion, ac***ulation in the dish?

bbq paint is fine, used it myself in the past...

I used just a Matt spray paint from Halfords ....didn't block the holes and still same strength signal
