Just wondering if there is any need for a Diablo Cam in an AZBOX if cccam is working or can the Diablo open channels that cccam cannot? I am pretty new to all of this so trying to understand what the differences are and if its worth getting a Diablo Cam with Programmer, about to order Azbox Premium.

If you don't need Diablo then no need to buy one or have any mods done to current boxes.
Diablo is good at reading cards :D

Still trying to understand weather or not a Diablo Cam is of any use in a Linux based Reciever that has cccam working, is there anything a Diablo Cam can do that cccam cannot do concerning opening channels?

CCcam only gets channels that any softcam can get as far as public hacked channels are concerned, unless you are able to connect with sharing or payserver capabilities.
Why does everyone think a Linux receiver is a magic box that decodes anything?
I suggest you read the Diablo section to see what that CAM opens and decide for yourself.
Diablo also reads many cards that maybe Azbox does not.

Its getting a bit clearer now, I was assuming that a Linux box could open all the channels that using a Diablo Cam could but in software rather than hardware, I have just ordered the AZBOX Premium and was considering getting the Diablo Cam with a programmer I just don't want to buy somthing in the Diablo that I can get in the AZBOX using a softcam, these forums are useful but somtimes time consuming getting the right answers, so what you are saying is that the Diablo Cam would only be useful in the AZBOX if it opens channels I want that the AZBOX cannot do in software or without some sort of Card Sharing subscribtion?
Thanks Dale.

Correct. :cup-006:
At the moment diablo gives you extra channels from 19e that we do not know for how long as there was a hick-up in the last week. but had extra channels for now over 1 year that you cannot get via soft cam only.

diablo does not work in the azbox but there is a fix hardware
It is alleged that the new receivers that are arriving at the distributors have the latest version pcb and are fixed for diablo (maybe the lower slot)
Until you get your box you won't know if its a latest version or not.... or you could ask the peeps where you intend buying the box from and make it a condition of sale that it must be the latest version.

If you want a cam to read official cards then why not look for a 2nd hand Dragon/T-Rex (bet there's loads not being used now). Mine works fine in the Premium and I don't have to worry about hardware modifications.:respect-054:
With my Dragon/T-Rex I canīt receive any HD-channels in S2.

No the point should not be , WHO NEEDS DIABLO or for that matter any other cam, the box must handle all cams, as it is sold as with 2 CI slots, and when we buy the box we was not told that only this or that cam is supported.
I love my Diablo cam, and will like to use it on my box, it is easy to settup
i use it with my other boxes, and i do not need to flash my boxes with third part softwares to get CCcam or card readers acctivated.
I use Diablo to keep my boxes in Factory shape, so if something happens i can return the box to my dealer and get a refound.
Some dealers do not accept the box back if you have used a non official software on the box. so this way i use Diablo and gett all i need without the warranty loss.
