i uploaded the firmware that was posted in the firmware section on my 6900 super combo. the one with the analyzer. but since ive done that the receiver keeps reseting itself, it turns off then on again. no idea how to put the old firmware back on? i cant access anything i go to menu and resets itself. as the firmware for 6900 super an dnot the combo series of 6900??
this firmware runs on the 6900HD Combo super. Is yours a 6900HD combo super? or a 6900 HD combo? the software should not have loaded on a non super? How did you put the software on the TM?
Power on and press menu on the front pannel if you get in the menu try a factory reset

yes thats whats i have a technomate 6900 hd combo super +. i put the file on usb stick then went to the data transfer menu on receiver then it installed the firmware like normal. it restarted the receiver and the receiver wont turn on no more than 5 seconds. it wont give the time for me to go and do factory reset. Maybe i can use a software to re-flash using serial?
if that is not working, do you have a null modem cable?
and what is the exact Technomate model?

i have the technomate 6900HD combo super + model. i will try the update using null modem. i was looking forward to testing that frequency analayzer.
Swith the computer and receiver off. (powerswitch at the back)
REMOVE CAMS, CARDS, LAN CABLE and LNB CABLE (these could intervene in the operation)
connect with a null modem cable to your computer
for normal null modem operations between your computer and your TM please use the (safer, checks firmware)
TM-Loader for TM-1000-5000-6000 Series 1.8.8.8 18th November 2008, download:

CAUTION: make sure you download correct patch for correct model number, super or non super!
Only in case of emergency use the following Loader, download:
Receiver Software Loader DM-Loader for TM-1000-5000-6000 Series 1.8.7 (https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?t=60688) <= click here
download the firmware TM6900HDSuper_670_14-02-2009.zip (https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?p=640778) <= click here
unpack the zip file, put the stb where you can find it on you computer

6.87 detected
only if that is the case.
select software
mark download
browse to the place where the .stb file is
and press connect
it should start transfering the software to the TM don't swith off the TM or the computer and wait until it has finished all its operations!
when the transfer is finnished and you have the time display back on the TM
then you can switch it off and then back on.

cheers m8. yes thats what im doing now it uploading the official firmware now. the strange thing is even if i left the receiver in standby the receiver would power itself off then on again into standby mode. so i had to get the timing right and press start in the 5 second window that the receiver would operate. after the software is installed i will try to re-install the analyzer firmware using usb. hope it works this time
redownload the firmware again and unpack it with 7zip
the file should be
4.031.406 bytes in size
4.034.560 bytes and could be on disc this size

ok after putting the official firmware back on i then tried to put the analyser firmware back on and it did the same receiver turns off then on again after 5 seconds. no idea why its doing that and i have taken out any cams or cards in the receiver. ill just stick to the patch dated back to april. anyone else gettign this prob??
if it fails by USB stick, load it by the serial port & TM-Loader for TM-1000-5000-6000 Series. could be an issue with the USB stick?

i tried factory reset still the same. and wont allow me to put any patched firmware on there. Does anyone have the official firmware prior to the one available now at technomate? the one before 3/7/09

are u sure ,uv got the right patch, i made the mistake of trying too put the wrong file on?????

yes its the right patch because i remember i used the same file when i first bought the technomate. When i use the loader and i try to load the patched firmware it gives the message incompatible model. however when i try to load the official firmware it detects the model. even in usb mode it gives the same message of incompatible model. i think the prob will be solved if i have the official firmware that was released in april or may. cant find it though
see if any of these do it (official firmwares):
https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?t=111917
will see if I have others and upload these
have the 670 & 680 uploaded:

sorry i overlooked that thread i noticed the older versions below later. but its stil the same although it accepts the analyser patch but not the april patch. same message "incompatible model". im trying to upload the 17/4/09 firmware. the analyser patch stil makes my receiver reset iself.
See if it works this way:
use the serial port, Receiver Software Loader TM-Loader for TM-1000-5000-6000 Series
switch the technomate off (powerswitch)
start the loader, and download the firmware to the TM while it is without power, think the software will ask to switch TM on and start the software transfer. If this did not work, i'm affraid you have to take it to your dealer, they have some other stuff to upload to your TM. Could not lay my hands on this.

i finally got it working. well what i did was to take the lnb cable out and also the ethernet cable then i reflashed with old firmware then the new analyser patch and it worked. in the carsharing menu it had lots of meaningless text inserted which i had not put there and i think the receiver was trying to connect to servers that dont exist and thats why it kept reseting itself. from previous experience i know some servers can make the technomate act this way.
Thanks for your help giga
You got me worried, glad all worked out.

i thought my technomate was a goner i thought i broke it. im trying to figure why the cardsharing editor was full of webdings and non-english text.
the file is bigger then previous ones, has more on board and used likely space previously occupied by the channellist or something.

i had the same prob. i flashed the receiver with version 670 then i was able to reflash with 17-04-09. i used a different loader version 1.8.7 and that worked well. with version 1.8.8 it kept giving the message you wrote, but not with 1.8.7
And as giga wrote earlier its better to do this in standby mode.
Red Alert are you sorted now? did you load via usb or serial. mine still won't play wanted to use lan cable for the secret menu thingy.

yeah mines sorted. i loaded it using serial cable and technomate loader. once you flashed it with 670 try and load the 17/4 one. i couldnt load the 17/4 with loader 1.8.8 but it worked well with loader 1.8.7.
if you just want the secret menu you can just try loading the 6900HDSuper_687p.zip firmware 28/7 because that worked with 1.8.8 loader. both patches have the secret menu.
thanks mate can you tell me where to get both loaders please?
Cheers
