I have had trouble with blind searches on my tm6900super before, but I thought they were a thing of the past. I have been picking up a lot more channels on some satellites but 30 west and 7 east just wont blind search. As soon as I hit search the box resets and moves to another sat??
Any ideas anyone?

hi oldjiver, had the same problem with my tm6900 super after updating the firmwear with 679 and re-patching with 679p, the only way i could cure it was to factory reset then reload with previous 674 and 674p again, but i do remember 679p was removed of the site for a while due to some issues but i had already updated before that point.Hope this helps

this is not unusual for the technomate receiver it does put too much rubbish when you bind search ,the memory get full and want let you do anything else, the best way it is to do the manual search if you know the details.
the only way to cure it is to do a factory reset and start again ,but don't use the blind search for every satellite.

I hope that will help

Thanks for the advice. I like to do blind scans as they seem to pick up so much more.
On 5w atlantic bird for instance, the normal scan picked up 69 channels, but the blind scan got 303, ( although strangely there are only 113 listed on lyngsat) (anyone know why???????)

remove satellite possitions you don't use, If you don't use radio remove those. Blind scan only 1 satellite at a time, blind scanning on an existing channellist creates double entries.
Make separate channellist for satellite positions you want to blindscan.
Save the current used channellist. Load the one for the sat location you want to blindscan.
after this is done put that list on a stick and compare both channellist against each other with Clarke Tech Editor Studio.
you can have 2 of these running and can copy paste information (mouse right click) between the 2 instances. (Windows)

I done this many time's if you blind search on 5 west ,you can also receive 4 west very close satellite which in real life it doesn't belong to that satellite[5w],that's the reason you got more channels, and you find some they are from 4 west,it happen to me many times,I know that it mite sound very confusing

I have a 1 mtr dish, but I do seem to get quite good signals from weak sats in north es***. I get 65% on some nilesat channels and 4.8e is a good strong signal here.
I will check 4w to see if I am getting any of its stuff.

I have just checked with lyngsay and I an actually getting AMOS channels with about 55% signal.
That is good for a 1mtr dish as the Lyng chart says a 120 is needed.

I live in kent and I use 1 meter dish with dual LNB i got 40 meters of coax and on 4 west Amos Sat I receive 60/70% signal and as I said before when you do blind search in some cases if you scan 5 west you find that some channels belong to 4 west most of the encryptions are some seca/some conax and some NDS,most of the 5 west they use via encryption and of course some free to air,as I mention before it is possible they get mixed up with the other satellite being so close and that is the disavantage for using blind search and at the end of the day you find the memory get full and want let you put more channels until you reset the receiver to factory default
have a good day

I find that a great part of the fun with this hobby is watching odd channels from ukraine/eastern europe etc. You do catch some gems jst by flicking around.
