because of trans rights european packages have no nfl trans boss. Get a dreambox or a clone or something with sharing capability. Don't forget the USALS or the motorized dish ! Don't stick to any sat provider. Listen to DaOne about network games. Sure bet you will have the games there.

Good news for ''DISH'' users...

DISH Network on Monday announced that NFL Network's new NFL RedZone channel will launch on its service on Sept. 13, the first Sunday of the NFL's 2009 regular season. The channel will be included as part of DISH's Multi-Sport Package and will be available in both HD and SD.

Backed by NFL Network's team-by-team coverage, NFL RedZone will offer live action coverage and real-time highlights from every 1 p.m. ET and 4 p.m. ET NFL game, every week. The channel promises to cover every touchdown by every team this season, jumping from game to game to catch crucial plays across the league.

NFL RedZone will air on DISH Network channel 155. To date, Comcast is the only other carrier that has announced plans to carry NFL RedZone.

Italy should get espn America Europe on SKy Italia on hot bird.

As far as I have seen it's only the UK that gets the different version as Sky UK held the rights for NFL.

As no-one currently holds the rights to the UK (apart from five Sunday late game) if EPSN picks up the UK rights then there would be no difference.

Official announcement about NFL on ESPN America. ESPN America and NFL Extend Partnership with Four-Year Agreement Deal gives English-language broadcast rights in 40+ countries in continental Europe.

European territories covered under this agreement:

Albania, Andorra, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus , Czech Republic , Estonia , France , Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy (including San Marino and Vatican City), Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Latvia , Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta (beginning with the 2010 season), Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slowakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Turkey (beginning with the 2010 season), and Ukraine.

ESPN America will televise four to six live games per week during the regular season including a live game during each of the following NFL broadcast windows: Sunday (1 p.m. EST), Sunday (4 p.m. EST), Sunday Night Football (8:15 p.m. EST.), and Monday Night Football (8:30 p.m. EST). So Italy should get it now on ESPN America.

NFL UK will continue their relationship with Five for the twelfth consecutive year after the two sides came to an agreement to show Sunday Night Football live in the UK.

Five will air Sunday Night Football for seventeen weeks, starting from Sunday September 13th, when their coverage of the 2009 NFL season begins with the clash between the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers. Coverage on Five will begin at approximately 1:00am each Sunday night.

Heading up Five's coverage of the games in the studio for the third consecutive year will be Mike Carlson and Nat Coombs. The live game commentary will be taken from NBC's coverage from the USA, with Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth voicing the action.

This is great news. Mike Carlson is pure class, even for an NFL "vet" like me. Cris collinsworth is also pretty darn good. But what happened to John Madden? Has he retired???

Lets also not forget that we will (hopefully) get feeds on 15w and theres Fox Sports ME that has a Sunday game at 6pm - usually the NFC East so we should be ok even for those like me that dont have sly or ESPN from the others territories.

Sky Sports to show NFL live

Sky Sports and the NFL have signed a new three-year deal which will see Sky showing live NFL games and additional NFL Network coverage.

Sky will air live coverage of games at 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. every Sunday night through the NFL season, as well as providing live coverage of the Saturday and Thursday night games that take place during the final seven weeks of the season, along with all postseason games.

Sky Sports' Week One coverage will continue on Sunday September 13th, with Brett Favre's debut for the Minnesota Vikings against the Cleveland Browns at 6:00 p.m., followed at 9:00 p.m. with an NFC East showdown between the New York Giants and Washington Redskins.

Week Two's live NFL coverage features the Philadelphia Eagles hosting the New Orleans Saints at 6:00 p.m. followed by the first glimpse of the Wembley-bound Tampa Bay Buccaneers as they travel to Buffalo to face Terrell Owens and the Bills.

In Week Three, Sky will feature the Tennessee Titans visit to the New York Jets at 6:00 p.m., with a clash between the Miami Dolphins and San Diego Chargers at 9:00 p.m..

The final week of selected games sees the New England Patriots - visitors to Wembley in 2009 - hosting the Baltimore Ravens at 6:00 p.m., followed by the Denver Broncos facing off against the Dallas Cowboys.

So no red button and no sunday or monday night games on Sky it seems.

We can only know for sure on the first sunday of the season. If METV still got rights I would say chances are good. No updates on METV web site under sports yet.

I for one dont have sky and wont be getting it in my lifetime unless they give it away. Long live METV feeds hopefully and if not hopefully digitv will still be working for me because they had NFL coverage last year.

Last year they kept saying they would have blacked out the nfl games on satellite, made available just for terrestrial digital tv, but they did it just once, if i remember well ...

Well here is some more good news.

Five Live Sports Extra (Radio/UK) is to host a weekly NFL show, with live commentary on Sunday, so perhaps sync in with FTA Italian feed if available?

The NFL comes to BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra with a new weekly programme every Sunday from 13 September (9.00pm-12.30am).

The show, 5 Live NFL, is the first weekly American sports live commentary programme on British radio.

Presented by Arlo White, 5 Live NFL has all the action throughout the season, including live match commentaries, interviews and all the latest NFL news.

Arlo will be joined in the studio by American Football journalist and broadcaster Neil Reynolds, with commentary and analysis from Greg Brady in America.

The programme will have live commentary of the day's featured match plus news from all day's other games.

The radio coverage brings back memoies. b4 sly got on the bandwagon i remember listening to the nfl on afrts - the armed forces radio and television service. the reception was very bad and would often cut in and cut out. i started watching the jets when ken o'brien and pat ryan were the QBs, we havent gotten much better at QB since!

As for the Eagles, i cannot see any coverage of their game at carolina. I know Fox is showing Dallas on Fox Sports ME though but the schedule for october hasnt come out for fox sports ME yet.

More good news. On LJS it says that sport 1 rom andsport 2 hun are showing the steelers game against tennesse. great for those who can clear 1w.

it also says that sport 1 rom has skins at giants.

Week 2 - fox sports are showing phillys home game with New Orleans.

I dont know if i made myself clear but Fox Sports Middle East on 8w is showing NFL games at 6pm on Sundays. Dunno about Fox Sports Europe, didnt know there was one.

Steelers-Titans game is on sport 2hun and sport 1 rom on 1w but in foreig nlanguage - yuk! oh well, better than nothing.

I did watch the game but it was not transmitted on 15W. ESPN America had it on ( Middle East ).

Its great to see all the regulars here, i've missed you all. I lost this forum for a while and as you can see have had to start with a new registration :(

Glad to see you changed your mind Bobby, your postings are always a great help (i'm searching to see what i need to get TV3 right now!)

I think i might watch Philly vs Carolina Tonight, followed by the 49ers if i can get them or NYG if I cant.

For those that like a Bet, i really like Baltimore, Minnesota and San Diego for an easy Treble.

the only good thing about the hungarian comentary is that you cannot hear the english commentary in th ebackground, thats so annoying!

A dreambox 500+ would not be able to recieve DVB-S2, it's DVB-S only.

DVB-S2 is usually mpeg4
DVB-S is mpeg2

You need a HDTV compatible receiver as they use DVB-S2, although ESPN America on 23.5e is in SD and a cam/softcam to decrypt it.

Dreambox 500 only does DVB-S. For DVB-S2 you need DM 800 or DM 8000 or another DVB-S2 tuner receiver.

hey Scrappy, i'm going with a few family friends , one a bucs fan, one a patriots (i know-puke right!)the missus whom of course loves the jets and a few players from pumas...we'll be supporting bucs all the way..we've told the solo pats fan he's flying alone!...as fo rest of afc east-sure the bills look good with to, fins with 'our chad' etc...however i think this is our year for run up. starting tohight -hopefully seeing first of many jet games of season!!!..and with vick at eagles to support mcnabb could be that nfc green vs afc green that Hoz and i discussed last year!...on a satellite note i got my azbox earlier this year and due to two funerals in fam not had time to sort and learn the cs server cccam side of box outespecially for mon night game in a few weeks...so far got the disqc 1.2, metv etc satellites going ok...tuned in itv hd all good...and now looking for the next step...i'm staying with az as i also use the network side heavily as i stream from my nas server to screen-any tips etc appreciated.

Great win but its only week 2. I fully expect us to beat Tennessee at home next week but beware the Bills.

As for Rex Ryan I didnt know until the commentary that he is the great Buddy Ryan's son. Now I know where he gets the waistline and the big mouth, plus the penchant for blitzing.

Buddy Ryan was the guy that gave us the famed Bears 4-6 defence and like Rex was a defensive co-oridnator before becoming a head coach AND won a superbowl as a co-ordinator.

Love the aggressiveness on defence during the final 2 minutes and love the poise of Sanchez. He didnt turn it over and when he took that sack on 3rd down instead of throwing it up for grabs I was very impressed.

Wouldnt swap Sanchez ofr any QB in th eleague right now.

As for the Eagles, lets face it, the Saints are a machine right now and could go all the way mow Colston is fit and Bush is blocking on passing downs!

wow i was so drunk watching the jets win the other night ..apologies for not getting back sooner...Hoz, boss, you the man....i know your team are gonna kick ass with Vick up front...he'll try and win the game all by himself if he can-i think andy reid will be pleased they investd in him)he will so want to quickly silence his critics and doubting thomases!(if theres such a word?)..also Dirkus the 49ers with Singletary voicing his opinions and his team (the buddy Ryan linkage apears again as his old coach!)...that matchup against Favre /Peterson posse..explosive to say the least.and one i for sure am gonna have to sit on the fence for..and finally scarppydoo we gonna have some sublime fun either way watching the best natural passer i've seen in a jets uniform since strictly speaking, ken O'brien back in the 80's although i'm prejudice to all the jets qb's in any event. 3-0 ...gotta great ring to it ...yeah baby:)

The 49ers having lost Frank Gore to an ankle injury are doing well against the Vikes. 14-13 at the half thanks to a blocked FG returned for a TD. Not sure we'll hold out till the end though.

as i came from a hummie 2000 i updated my dragon/trex to pred370 and put it in my top slot azbox elite...et voila...got foxsports on 8w and digitv on 1w with sport2 hun ro etc...hoping to catch as many jets games as i can this year...from Sir Bobby's (hope you don't mind boss...but you are like royalty to us mere mortals)post metv looks interesting over next few weeks...
wondering if i should wait for azbox firmware that should be coming soon or get cracking on learning cccam etc (only ever used cuteftp to upload frontpage edited pages to a website!)?
...and secondly i currently stream from a netgear readynas duo and remember reading that with the aid of a usb stick left in back of elite that the nas couod be used for recording once a partition is set up and is formatted correctly.?...does anyone know as mnf is on sooo l8 i need to record these off sport 2hun etc..:respect-013:

About the 7 or 8 W issues: My rotor cannot differentiate 7 and 8 much. But that's besides the point. fox is on orbit at 8w. 60 cm size is enough for south east. But 7w transmission (sorry for my previous carelesness :leaving:) of ADD and Showtime are out of your reach unfortunately. You would need dish size over 2m. Sorry for causing false hopes but if you have other questions I can answer with utmost care next time.

thx for quick reply thought i was going out of my mind...i found espn america on 23.5e kb-and 19e...old german premiere channels i think...cant open either with my pred 3.70 dragon cam file...is there another way at present...files available etc as 19e looks like it uses just basic nagra1?...anyhow..if not i'll attempt azbox update and cccam...also did not know jets result as yet...damn!!!

Congrats to the 4-0 teams. Out of them I agree that NO and Indy look good and i especially think the defense of the Saints is underated.

That said, i do not expect Indy to reach the big dance. I know New England look shaky and San Diego seem to have no 'D' but I'm just not sure about the Colts just yet.

Remember last year, who would have thought the Cards and Steelers would be at the big dance so it's still too early for my predictions.

As for Favre, I used to love the guy but have gone off him and its not his fault. All throught MNF 'Jaws' and 'Chucky' were fawning over him and it gets too much after a while. Yes, he's good, but lets see what happens when the Vikings play a defense that has a pass rush and lets see how Brett plays in December and January out of the dome.

As for the Jets, I expected us to lose simply because NO are better.

To all those Jets fans fussing over MNF and where to watch New York's finest, Sport 2 on 1w has MNF all season long and in original commentary. You even get the little comments during the ads when the guys forget to turn off their mics!

No problem. This season has been unpredictable what with the gd form of Frisco and even Cincy and Denver (and my NY Jets) . That's why I love this game, there's always a sleeper team that overachieves. I honestly think this could be one of the best seasons I have ever seen.

I wasn't going to post again until my JETS won but as that could be a while I thought I'd come back. Very annoyed by our last 2 losses. I hate Miami's college offense but what were we doing? Couldnt stop the run or the pass!
Sanchez best game as a starter was wasted.

Against the Bills I wasnt so upset. 5 picks and we still nearly won it, shows how bad the Bills are. Time for Sanchez to get back to basics, screen passes and easy completions.

At least we didnt lose to Oakland!

much as i love my jets i do have a problem watching nfl games in a foreign language. its not like soccer, where i have so mcuh knowledge of the game and have heard everything the commentators have to say. so i didnt watch the game. maybe that was a good idea.

Definately not given up on this thread, forum our the 49ers. I'm a bit dissapointed that it looks like we'll need lots of help if we are to get to the playoffs. Still tonight is a new game and i fancy the niners vs the Jags.

I have a minor prediction:

49ers beat Seahawks next week and Vikes beat Arizona.

That leaves a Monday night game for the 49ers and Cardinals to take the division. Great stuff!

Dirkus I honestly and willingly want 49ers to win that game against the Cards. Like us....we must win one of the two next games and expect Dallas and Giants to rip each other apart. It is also good to see that Viks and GB cheeseheads are facing strong teams, they are in our wild card playoff Division. They loose we can climb up in the playoff picture.

With my 49ers all but out of the playoff race, i wish you all the best with your teams.

What started out as a very exciting season for me has (as usual) ended is dispair. I really enjoyed the NFL experience at Wembley again (even though the result and Tampa Bay performance was shocking).

Who's watching what this weekend?

I've started watching th coverage on ESPN Europe instead of the METV Feed Lately. Might post a couple of bets also.

I think i'd like to see the Vikes do well this season. After a promising start I think the Jets have come unstuck a bit, i'd like to see them make it into the playoffs. A season without NE there would be good, they bore me!

Due to the snow storm in the Midwest and soon East Coast, the NFL has moved the Chicago at Baltimore game from 1pm ET Sunday to 4:15pm ET (22:15 CET) Sunday. The NFL has also moved the San Francisco at Philadelphia game from 1pm ET to 4:15pm ET Sunday.

The last show on Five huh? That's a shame because Mike Carlson is pretty darn good. So Five lost MLB and now NFL as well as NBA and NHL. Lame.
HOWEVER, the real story is those New York Jets. LAst game at our old home and great way to go out. Cincy, it has to be said, put up as much fight as a chicken dinner.

I fancy us to beat them on Saturday too. It will be a defensive game. Put your money on us, not too much of it though.

I guess its tim efor predictions:

New York at Cincinnati 21-13
Philadelphia at Dallas 28-17

Sorry, but I have to disagree here. I watched the show on Five for the first time this week and I did not like it at all - 4:3 picture, crappy studio and most of time talking only useless rubbish. No match for Sky Sports at all.

Its a different type of coverage to sky on FIV, always has been, even the baseball. and im sorry but Mike Carlson is one of the best pundits around. They have fun but they know their stuff, they will be missed.
