first time use

I will be hiring a car from Manchester airport up to the Lake district and hired a car from Avis ( do not know what type of sat nav they use). The thing is I never has used one is it difficult to programme it? Any helpwould be helpfull. I come from Malta.Thanks

Most are pretty easy to use - can you find out what make of sat nav unit you'll be using ?
Also - try to find the postcode for where you are going to - that usually makes it a bit easier to enter your destination.

google maps, just in case. Keep in mind they are driving on the wrong side of the road. Was supposed to get to Edinburg from Hull, took us 20 minutes to realise was driving to Wales, took the wrong highway ramp.
