Can anybody suggest a fix for my IRC5400? It was working fine but stopped suddenly and now I am getting signal strength but zero quality. I know it is not the LNB as I tried swapping it with my a working Sky dish.

Thanks

hi kingprawn,
provided you have checked to see if the dish has fallen off the wall or is pointing at the ground, then working on the fact that the sky dish has the signal and your humax has not, then my next move would be to check the psu, it is a common indication again provided you have jumped through the usual hoops, of a psu failure, if you are ok with a volt tester then check the outputs on the psu i think its the 30v line that fails for the signal
hope this helps

Voith Driver & SaT Paul,

Thanks for your help, I never suspected the PSU as it powered up OK, I was thinking of that I would need to buy a new receiver but this fix has given my IRC5400 a new lease of life. It is over 10 years old and still working.

Kind Regards
KP
