Hi guys...
Got my elite during the week and have it set up..running CCCcam with a test C line from a mate..however I cant connect directly with my HDMI cable...when I try with just the HDMI I get a blank screen, but when I use the scart lead I can see a picture then select a HD program to watch...is there a way to just have the HDMI connection only or is the scart needed to connect too?..cheers

Settings -> Audio/Video -> Video Output -> HDMI????????
Plus PAL etc.
when the settings are OK in the AZBox:
check the flatscreen manual for connections: Some brands require the use of a dedicated HDMI port for HDMI/DVI.
swith the flatscreen by hand to the used HDMI port
If this is not a requirement for your flatscreen, do you have other
HDMI output to test the HDMI cable (DVD, Blu-ray, console, ...)
DVI port (computer) to test HDMI/DVI.
Try setting AZBox to lower HD screen resolution, start with lowest 576i see if you get picture with that and increase to 576p, 720p & 1028i and see if you still got a picture.
Hope you solve this issue

Hi guys..
thanks for the reply...I can get all the resoloutions available but only when I have both the scart and HDMI cables in (then I can switch between both)..
If I switch on the box with only the HDMI cable in I get no picture what so ever..just wondering if anybody else had the same problem...don't think it's an AZbox issue I'm sure it's my TV..

Do you have switched source input on tv?
If you use scart tv switched automatically but with hdmi you must switch manually..

Unplugging from the wall socket sometimes does it with HDMI... ;) Both the telly and AZ... :)

an audio/video specialist once told me never use the leads that come with the box. they are poo as it's all down to economics.
use a high quality lead like monster or qed, and you notice the difference.
regards.

Well goran...It's particularly noticable on the setup screen, the text is crisper, more readable.. and my SD channels are much clearer,I think the set up was reverting to SCART as a default even though I chose HDMI in set up.

Digital signal, quality in HDMI cable won't make a diffrence unless your talking long distance.

these Guys and Girls will tell you everything to sell and get big money. HDMI = digital signal and bandwith, It either works or not. As long as you stay with known brands there is verry little that can go wrong: HDMI cable (6,68 Gbps) 131,89 €(113,24 UK£) <> (10.2 Gb/S) 33,88 €(29,09 UK£) (https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?p=641989) Monsterprices from Monsterc....
