687p recording problem?

I have a maxtor 500gig USB hard drive attatched to my TM 6900HD Super. It has allways been a bit tempremental, but it seems to have stopped working completely since I downloaded 687p.
I hardly use it so I have just noticed.
Anyone else with similar problem?
