And what the resolution of that picture?
Remember that the limit is 1.3 Mega pixels and not 1.3 Mbytes.

PS: Good to see you here Juka ;)

Hello,

Yes there is a limitation on the photo definition. It must have a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

This is a known limitation, we hope to see it sorted out.

Yes, I've already recognized this problem too. I don't see any sense in this limitation. It is very annoying and you can't use the Azbox HD to watch your cam photos on it. :18:

I hope this nonsense ends very soon!

roflmao I wonder how they create these kind of problems @azbox sometimes

Hi!

It might not be a problem created by the azbox team, but a problem by the SIGMA drivers.
Remember that azbox is capped in speed using LAN and USB, popcorn/egreat using almost the same SIGMA chip are not.
This speed problem is a problem from the SIGMA drivers, the problem with pictures might also be.

Simply because: 1920 x 1080 is the native maximum screen resolution of TV so the processor can handle it easily (natively).
Higher resolution picture then need software management to handle it and it is not yet implemented.

I propose to Azbox that during the optimization process they simply shrink the phots towards the maximum resolution 1920 x 1080, so that we can view it.
The goal of optimization is to increase the low resolution photos to allow them to be displayed on high def TV, so why not also do the opposite.

The 'feature' is a nuisance. All my photos were resized so that the height was set to 1080. Unfortunately, the aspect ratio is altered when displaying on the AZbox.

It is possible to use the 'convert' program (windoze versions also exist) to make black space at the sides.

Try,

convert old.jpg -background black -gravity center -extent 1920x1080 new.jpg

Question for OpenSat,

Why can't I play my music, while displaying a slide show of my photos?
