I have a strange problem regarding signal quality on my Azbox Premium.
When adjusting the position of the dish (via "SETUP") to any satellite (using Disecq), I get a strong signal (90%+) and a strong signal quality (75%+).
However, the picture keeps breaking up.
When checking the signal quality while viewing a channel, the bar indicates only about 30% signal quality.
Any ideas as to what might be causing this?
And any ideas on how to fix it?
SR? FEC? DVB-S2, Pilot on DVB-S2, LNB allignment, ... Moving the dish you get the full frequency band strength, quality is only on that channel.
Hi,
When pointing a satellite dish it is just a question of compromise.
You can have 100% of signal and 100% quality on a particular TP and a wrong signal on another one.
So you should have an average good signal and quality on several TP.
Once you find the satellite you look at then search for a TV program that is not directely for your country and adjust your antenna pointing towards this channels (TP).
You should try to increase your signal quality above 80%.

Many thanks to all.
I discovered that the collar holding the LNB was loose - once I adjusted the skew of the LNB and tightened the collar, things were OK.
Great that you pinpointed the problem and fixed it.
