darkbox hd problem help please!!!!

have just set up a 80cm moterised dish! as i am a complete novice. It took me 2 days. set it up with a darkbox rev 2008 hd box. loaded the software from usb stick. dont seem to get channels on . is the software out of date? or am i doing something wrong.got a lock on most satelites.
purchased box in dec 2008. and only got round to setting it up with dish.ready for launching it out the window!!!!!

Hello PEEM05,

You probably have not got the EMU switched on, to switch it on press 8888 on remote,this facility gets you into emulator page, you will see if emu is on or not,if its not just switch it on,this should clear channels,hope this helps toffa58:respect-039::sifone:

Hello,

The only channels available at the mo with emu are on Thor 1% west,digi tv,apart from fta channels on freesat, can you get your dish to point to 1% west, you will then be able to establish if there is anything wrong with receiver???
Also check if you are receiving a signal on the signal metre,if you are not receiving a signal you will not be able to get anything.
If thats the case check dish alignment and lnb,hope this helps toffa58:respect-064:

hi toffa. i have a lock on thor 1 west it brings up gospel channel then bbc news. but as i go down list. all channels locked... could it be the software on the usb??0811061031 api. please could you advise!!thanks
