Hi all,
I updated my Sony satnav with the latest software and maps early this year and that will be the last update of anysort from them, No further surport for Europe only USA.
I thought that I would get TT on my mobile to see if I liked it, if so I would then replace my Sony with a TT unit. I have now sort listed it down to two units (1) XL IQ UK + EUROPE and buy a TT RDS traffic to add to it. (2) XL LIVE IQR UK + EUROPE. Both come out at almost the same price. The RDS traffic is free for life ( after the device is paid for ) but a friend has one and said all it shows is roadworks and seldom traffic. The Live TT is free for the first three months and £7 something a month after that, but it is HD traffic.
So what Iam asking is, has anyone got a RDS traffic unit pluged into thier TT if so can you let me know how well it works, Or if anyone has a Live TT also post . Thanks.

PS I do have a legal Garmin XT on my mobile but it's only really a second device because the screen is just to small, hence the main replacement.

PPS Traffic is important to me as Iam a courier, time is money. I can offset the £7 a month against my Tax. It's just an extra cost if it gives the same info.

Do you need a bluetooth handsfree device for your phone - if you do then check out the TT Go units.

Thanks for the reply Russ. I don't need bluetooth as I have a great parrot handsfree system installed in my van ( very easy to install by the way if anyone wants to fit thier own ). It was just the traffic that I hoped that I would get some feedback for.
Thanks again.

Ok m8s got TT XL IQR Live this morning. It had navcore 8.413 and 825.2157 Europe 42 countries. When pluged into TT Home it updated the navcore to 8.417 and also updated the maps with mapshare. I then did a full backup and used the 30 day map update, it then loaded 835.2419 and then updated it with mapshare ( I think 5000 odd corrections ). Looking at the traffic using browse map it looks good, showing how heavy and which direction. Tomorrow is the full working day, so fingers crossed that it gives me correct traffic and adjust the route correctly.

PS my old Sony had TMC which gave OK traffic, a few false possitives and always recalculated the route even if I had passed the problem. A great satnav I had it for four and a half years, cost me over £350 at the time.
Sorry to see it go but I just need current maps.
