Hi guys,
Please could someone help out here in storing sat on my AZBox.

At the moment I have a 1.1 meter dish, Invacom LNB & Technomate 6900.
Had the dish set up for about 6 years now, getting 43w to 28e no problem.

I have connected the AZbox up through the loop through and I was planning on using the technomate as the positioner.

Running 0.9.2372 software on the AZbox.
So my dish is sat on 1W, using the technomate. (The Turned it off)

I set the AZbox up,
> TV Channel > Tuner A DVB-S > Antenna Setup
I can't see DiSEqC 1.2 in the DiSEqC.
I get 1.0, Mini, 1.1, SW21-Dish1 & 2, SW42_DISH1 & 2, SW44_DISH 1 &2, SW64-DISH 1 & 2 & Combination.
Which one do I set it to?

If I set it to 1.0-LNB 1
Getting 96% SS & 79%Q on 1W.

Then select Positioner Setup - DisEqC 1.2.
Then select Command Mode - Save
Scan TP's fine.
Then Exit.

Move the dish to 5E using the Tecnomate.
Then Again
Select Positioner Setup - DisEqC 1.2.
Then select Command Mode - Save
Scan TP's fine.
Then Exit.

Then If I goto channels I will get a FTA channel fine on 5E, Then go to change sat to 1W. The dish moves but not to were I saved it on 1W?
Strange, were am I going wrong here guys?

Also I have set it up with just the AZbox connect to the dish, Moved between 1W & 5E saved it but it wont move to the correct locations?

Been reading on here, do I need to set 1W up as 0 position. If so how do I do this?
In Positioner storage I only have option 1 to 125.

If you know were I'm going wrong please help, spent hours on this now.

Thanks
Guys

...it says...

The following 2 are normally used for motorised setups, when one has only 1 LNB. Then, one usually uses the "Positioner" settings, of course. (DiSEqC 1.0 and 1.1 are normally used when the "Positioner" is set to “OFF".)

DiSEqC 1.2 for a motorised setup and
USALS, the same but automatised, using your Latitude and Longitude (Format: xx.x)

So, Combination etc. is not for you, if you have DiSEqC motor and 1 LNB. Leave that be [DiSEqC to OF!!!] and sort out the above in "Positioner".

Good luck!

Thanks for this Goran,
Going to try it out before I goto to work.

OK getting a bit better now.
But in Positioner Setup (Positioner Storage) do I have set each sat up with a number like.
1W as 1
5E as 2
10E as 3
13E as 4
etc etc.

Or do I leave Positioner Storage on AUTO?

IF I find one sat, then store it. Say 1W.
Then move onto another 5E then stroe it. and it moves fine between the sats.
Then move onto 13E sore it.
If I then go back to to 5E its fine, but when I goto 1W the dish is moving to 13E.

It's like it is only store the last 2 sats

it's driving me crazy now.

It's a bit like this guys problem.

Why don't you delete everything and start anew, as some have done, so they didn't take the old mistakes with them - with deleting all the plugins, channels, formatting the application area, resetting to factory defaults and all bits installed from scratch...:respect-051:

You say in your post that you will use your technomate to move your dish. That's ok.

Later on on you say that the AZBox won't move your dish, but the AZBox has no method of controlling your technomate.

With a 30v motorised dish you have two options:
- Use your technomate to move the dish every time you switch to a new satellite
- or buy a vBox and get the AZBox to move your dish through the vBox

I thought he has a DiSEqC motor, not a polarmount.

In that case AZbox HD can move the dish.

If you're right, then Vbox would be good.

It was not clear to me either, but it looked like a 30v motor system.

Perhaps billynw could confirm what type of dish motor he has.

Very few recs have the internal positioner. My guess is DiSEqC.

Goran, you are correct the technomate 6900 is a DiSEqC receiver only. Please disregard all my earlier posts.

Apologies to billynw for the confusion.
