Hi I have a computer running cctv cameras on my network is it possible to watch a stream from them somehow?
I can see the stream on my laptop by typing in the ip and port just wondered if there was a plug in or something so i can see it through the dm800
Hi Scrupples,
Slightly off topic but i am looking to add cctv to my network.
Are your cameras wired/wireless and can you record to a partion constantly on your PC HDD.
Please PM me any advice or tips you can.
Cheers Andy

if you can type the ip in your computer and view then it sounds like mine - utilising a web browser to view them?
If so, I think there is a web browser plugin for dm800 - find it and try it :)
Good luck

no joy as yet because my camera software uses java to show the pics on the web page.....

Bummer. Mine uses ActiveX or Java so would have similar issues I guess - however, the camera manuafcturer also offers a few other "hidden" pages that you can call for direct viewing of the camera shots that do not require Java or ActiveX (so I can use this on my iPhone (no Java/ActiveX support).
Who is the manufacturer of your camera/server?
