That is good, then all rats is gone but the Captain is still running the ship.

Perhaps time to ask for some help, one man canīt run a ship that size !

A tug or 2 could be fine :troll:

What do you expect guys...

They promised the box would leave beta stage by now... NOT HAPPENED.

They promised to fix many basic bugs that stop the box being used as sold... NOT HAPPENED.

They promised to release a much improved firmware weeks ago... NEVER HAPPENED.

They promised to create a forum for us to air our views and get a true idea of the firmware developments... GUESS WHAT ......

They have our money so why should they give a toss...

They cant even be bothered to send us an email regarding the forum login and explain why we cant access the forum.

I am sure we will now get a load of posts here defending the Azbox, personally I have set a date of 2 months before my box hits the market and I start looking at the DM500HD etc...

Just to add to the list, the long advertised 'DVB-T2 / T' tuner has now appeared and its 'T' only..

goran

Octagon twin tuner HD is out, new ones are being prepared, Coolstream is ploughing along and so on...

I wouldn't ever buy a DB but some might and 500HD is a contender for such people...

Opensat should sit up and listen!!!!

I think 2 options

1. Who have failed to pay the programmer, and now the programmer for more than 2 lines of code per day.

2. They fired the programmer based on $, and now have one, can not get their hands because they do not understand.

Is there a more variable?, Frankly because a new firm comes out worse than before and with a ridiculously superior size ... ... really is happening here?

We heard that The_Ripper is working on it now [unofficially]... What is he doing? Well, if understood correctly, he is trying to cir***vent OpenXCAS and rewriting the API... maybe...[???]

How this might come to be effective? Well, we all know the limitations for certain things are down to Sigma people and their processor's driver, which simply isn't good enough and their "support" is CRAP!!!

So, we are hoping that maybe someone is even re-writing the processor driver [not at all sure, this is just some potential indications of what might happen, if we're very lucky, from some posts here-and-there but nothing conclusive...].

IF this is happening, then all might become better, faster, more stable and "talk" directly", without any "interceptors/mediators", hence more efficient and more responsive...

I'm giving it another month or so and then we'll see if there's sufficient grounds to stick with AZbox HD. Otherwise...:smash:

That's Goran, this is the only key to the solution, code hack and public, and all users to work, each contributing what they know, would be great friend, very large.

If Mower is working on DVB API for AZHD, we will get the best toy you can get for this less Money.
It will dramatically improve Zappingspeed and Teamwork between API>Client(mbox,CCcam, maybe all other) will be much better.
This Mipsel CPU called sigma can much more as that what we see now

Yes, Sigma is capable multimedia chip, but integrated CPU is only 300Mhz and we dont know if its any good.
If you watch videos of popcorn for example you can see thats not very fast.

A-110: Sigma Designs 8634, 300MHz general-purpose CPU
C-200: Sigma Designs 8643, 333MHz and 667MHz general-purpose CPUs

Next gen sigma chip has faster CPU ... twice as faster

I also found this: _http://dune-hd.com/news/112-hdi-press-release-on-the-3.0-products.html

Both 3.0 version products feature Sigma Designs 8642 chip, more than twice more powerful than the previous 8634 chip model: 667 Mhz against 300 MHz. It grants even faster GUI than before, allows much more fluent support of any "heavy" applications including BD-J (Java), Flash Lite 3, Web browsers, etc.

as for the previous 8634-based models, our GUI implementation is based on direct work with graphics primitives of Sigma processor and doesn't use any heavy intermediate libraries/technologies (like Web-browsers). It allows us to keep superiority in the speed of the players' GUI over competitive solutions. Also as before, our GUI is very simple and intuitive and so it is suitable for anybody who can operate a standard DVD player. So our players are "friendly" to children, elders and second halves. You will not need to keep any special player for other family members...

hanswurscht

yes always something faster there, but we dont have it, so I dont do a head break about this.
7025 is also slower, DMM800, Octagon Twin....

Is there a more variable?

Yeah...

3. They are all horribly embarrassed about the lack of forward progress, so they are not opening the doors or allowing us to see the thread / post count until a firmware version can be released that will ensure that the forum can be publicly opened without there being a pack of rabid 'unofficial beta tester' customers at the door.

I have been patient and positive for long enough now, at some point I will have to stop being patient and positive and start thinking that we are being taken for a ride by yet another corporate bunch of clowns.

I hope they prove me wrong but I doubt it.

I'm running 2371 firmware & cccam 2.1.1. on Premium box & the picture breaks up even on fta channels on 1.1 meter dish in S.E. England. On my Sky Hd & Technomate 5400 this is not an issue, I get 97% both strength & quality readings on 1 West & 28 East from Technomate 5400 box I've tried both 2372 & 2380 firmware with the same problem I have freezing problems with the cccam but I understand the problem & I'm dealing with it any ideas on the breaking up please

The forum is ill-conceived and badly structured, poorly thought through and serves no purpose as far as the customers are concerned, at the moment.

All they seem to be interested in is PR - but no real interaction with the customers, no taking them into account, no listening to them - quite the opposite!

Looks sad, really... At least for now...

Its the same in all the 8 Month I have this Box,trying to getting more Time and no Communication to the User.
Beta....perhaps but take a look to Coolstream and you see how Beta can work, of course also without sources for now.
The big Point is Communication, it is missing complete on AZ
We can say thank you to some People which help us with good Informations,Manuals and good Tools, without this the Box is nothing
