I have always used CCcam and never tried any other cam before. I am using Gemini 4.6 as an image. I read several times every post of the other two threads and realised that only mgcamd + newcs can work for the upgrade.

I have a working jsc card (viaccess) which I want to upgrade to get the other 4 channels. I received the second confirmation email from adm on Thu, Sep 3 at 4:57 PM. After that, I downloaded mgcam 1.31 + newcs 1.65 but don't know if I have to configure anything using DCC after the download. My card works for the first 4 channels using mgcam but hasn't upgraded after 2 days. Can anybody help me please?

After downloading mgcam + newcs should I do any configuration?

Post your newcs.xml mg_cfg and newcamd.list
newcs.xml is in var/tuxbox/config and the other two are in var/keys

I have looked for them but they are not there !!!!!! I just downloaded the cam using gemini but did not do anything after that except for waiting. Have no idea how mgcamd works... never used it before.

Then you need to download mgcamd cfg and newcs.xml which you can do via the blue button.
Have you downloaded newcs bin file also ?

Ok I downloaded everything and can see them using DCC.

You may need to make some changes but first of all see if you can use the current set up to view your card.

Yes card is ok for first 4 channels.

It's not the best tool but you can use DCC to make some changes if needed.
mg_cfg make sure you have au set correctly and also do the same with the user in the newcs.xml

au is on in both files now. Do I have to enter my dreambox lan ip anywhere? I just need this to work only for the upgrade cause then I ll change back to cccam.

That should be it, just wait for the update now :respect-051:

This is so frustrating.............No update yet. Strangely mgcamd is not working now and I cannot even get my first 4 channels even if I restart it. They are ok in CCcam and in Scam however. Can anyone help ?

Post our ccfg's and it will help. you will have to copy and paste them into the thread.

Earlier the first 4 channels were clearing with Mgcamd + Newcs. However I was doubtful as I had cccam installed as well. Infact when I deleted cccam the first 4 channels stopped working and that's my situation now.

Here are some files to replace yours, once you have added them do a full reboot and check that they work.
I am not sure which box you have but I have set it for lower card reader.

Can you try different image? Pli works very well.

Finally got mgcamd + newcs working (as the first four channels of jsc are ok) after I used PLI image. Something was wrong with Gemini then. However still cannot connect to newcs web server using dreamboxip:8080.

If I cannot connect to newcs web server does it mean my card still cannot be updated?
