internal hardrive

i have just installed an internal hd in my dm800, could someone please tell me what i need to do and how,
i have tried to mount it and keep getting following message
Mount: Mounting/Dev/Discs/Disc0/part 1 on / Media/hddFailed No such file or Directory.

please help and tell me where to put files
