Hi,
I'm a new italian user of azbox hd premium.
I installed all con fw 2880 (sat+dtt) and now I'm trying to read my regular card Dahlia tv. It's a provider which uses irdeto 2 cryption method. I have the card and I'd like to use with my azbox.
I installed REAL CCcam 2.1.1 following the guide on sticky thread.
I can connect to http://<azbox_ip:16001/ but I get scrambled for dahlia channels.
Can cccam read my irdeto cam using internal slot? I have to configure something?
Can you help me :bigear:?
Thanks very much!!

Maybe NewCS 1.20 [for internal card reader] + CCcam - does anyone know?
I have seen people sorting it out with NewCS + MGcamd and het EMMs/updates [Nova]...

Could you explain better your ideas? I'm a newbie... :bow-004:
So you are suggesting me to install NewCS 1.20: how I configure newscs and cccam to talk each other?
Otherwise I could install NewCS 1.20 and MGcamd (disabling cccam I suppose): what does it mean "het EMMs/updates"?
Sorry for my .... stupid questions but I'm trying to understand how to use my card. :bowing-036:

You are telling me that I have to buy a diablo card to use with my irdeto one?

Get - not het - typo. It means "get updates" in MGcamd, that Mbox can't...
Use SEARCH function, if you're a Newbie and don't even want to read the Stickies or similar titles on the first page of this section... It's there... more or less...

But I don't want to share anything. I want to use my card locally using the internal card reader.

I used the search function (I searched irdeto) but if you try you'll see that you don't find anything relevant (maybe irdeto is not much used).
I read all sticky thread (I followed the sticky thread and I installed cccam) but there is no information about irdeto.
But this cryptation method is supported by internal card reader using some emu/sw?

We told you: NewCS.
If not here, try Mbox forum for NewCS + Mbox.
Otherwise search the net, especially Greek forums, of course...
Good luck!:respect-051:

I don't think cccam on its own will read the card. I use newcs and cccam with an external reader, but there is a version of newcs which can read the internal card reader you must search for that. To get them to tak together is easy in the newcs.xml configuration file you add an account for a "user" and a "password". You then add this user name and password to CCcam. They then connect and "talk" to each other.
You can see if newcs can read your card because it has a web browser interface which you start on your PC. normaly Azbox_IP_address:16000 or 16001 (cannot remember) there is a menus there when you can tell newcs to read you entitlments (i.e. what you subscribe for). If it reads this then you are one you way.
good luck (its does need a bit of time - don't give up)

Thanks neilD.
I'll try all your suggestion: I hope to solve my problem.
Thanks very much.
If it helps here is a newcs reader config which I use for a greek irdeto version 5 card it was a pain to get it working took me 3 weeks of exerimenting but I guess this will work with other irdeto cards
Also if you do use mgcamd you will need to ensure the irdeto caid is at the top of the priority list file
this will work with newcs 1.50 and up I dont think you need to use irdeto camkey data with newer versions of newcs
I dont know the az box as I dont have one so perhaps someone else on the forum could validate is azbox card slot is referenced as sci0

Hi mp thanks very much!!
Ho can I ensure the irdeto caid is at the top of the priority list file?
Whan can I do?
Using Goran's suggestion I'm using newsc 1.20: is it ok?
In newcs.xml I have the section <readers name="Standard Phoenix on PC">: do I have to replace with yours?

From memory the device for the internal reader is /dev/scard
/dev/sc0
/dev/sc1 are the CAM slots
Yes I would use his setup and see if it works (replaceing /dev/sc0) and then start newcs up and look at the output, especially near the beginnign where it tries to open the card slot

I have no good news :18:
I'm using 2880 fw and newscs 1.20 as you suggested me.

Then I tried the suggestion of hanswurscht but the result is the same.
I tried to use multiCAS too, disabling newsc and mgcamd, but the result is the same.
I hope that mp or someone else could help me and give me any other hints :bigear:

Ok which version of MultiCAS?
Which version of firmware (I know that the code for the card reader changed between firmware versions)?
Any config of MultiCAS?
Thanks :respect-048:
