Can u stream DM to IPhone?

I have just read through the 12 pages of the link you provided and apart from one mention of the iphone getting the Router login page there did not seem to be any reference to the ihone and its capability or inability to receive a stream from the DM800.

So perhaps the question still is unanswered for st3

It is quite obvious that some members on the site are more knowledgable than others, it is also obvious that some members are more `tolerant` of newbies on the site and they actually try to help in a `helpful` way.

So, st3 - in answer to your question, on the basis of the utter confusion contained within the 12 pages of Ians link, I would suggest that in theory it is possible, but in practice no one seems that confident to proclaim that they have achieved it.

But, like most things with the Dreambox - Nothing is imposible, its just that some things take a little more time.

the program from that link does stream to the iphone m8,all the info is there
about selecting http when streaming to the iphone also what encapsulation and codecs ect are needed,there is even a link to the site of the author of the program,where more info on the settings needed to do this can be found.
i personally have not tested this,but plenty of others claim it works perfectly well.
maybe my last post was a little short,but i do feel that on most occasions newbies ask before they read.ian.

Hi ian the post you refer back to is a post titled in the line of, streaming dreambox to pc, i wish i could have had the time to have read all posts and discovered that on page 4+ but i thought of asking a question wich would have put me in the right track, which it did! I am sorry if it has upset you but i dont see why it should perhaps if you let someone else answer it rather than having the short fuse blown up it would have been better.

Just try to remember that helping starts with a positive attitude not a short one.

i never managed to get streaming going to my iphone or over the internet. I was asked and was told that you could stream with vista but then told you coulld not. My intention was to stream to my Iphone, if you manage it with vista please let me know.

ok mate your are quite correct,but in all honesty if im trueful it was your prevoius post regarding pay servers that had got my back up.i had stated quite clearly the resons why no one would help anyone find a pay server and the ramifications it would eventually have on this site and on peeps that use them.

you seemed to accept that you couldnt ask what you wanted to know on the board,so instead asked if peeps would pm you the information.

this sugested to me that you didnt bother to read what had been written,so i wrongly gave you a short and abrupt answer in this thread.

i am sorry and i was wrong to do this as the two things are not related.
i hope you find the answers to your questions regarding streaming to your iphone.im sorry,but i have not tried this,so i cannot help further,but the program i pointed you to,is supposed to do this and many people from the authors site claim to have it working.i hope you manage it too.
i would suggest that you follow the link i gave there to the authors site and ask him personally.he is very helpfull and if it can be done,he will help you achieve it.ian.

I use slingplayer works well once jailbroke can be used on 3g neywork as well

I have my DM800 working with slingbox and also have dreamote on my iPhone and it streams to that too

use orb, google 'mycast.orb'

now its an iphone app - no need to jailbreak if you dont want to

dont think it will stream direct tbh but it should playback recorded files.
