changing the channels is very slow !!!

I have a AZBOX HD PREMIUM REV. 4 with firmware 0.9.2880.

I just bought this receiver and I see this receiver spend around 10 seconds when I change the channels.

could you tell me if it is normal ?

could you tell me your experience about changing channels. how long does your azbox spend changing channels??? which firmware do you have?

would I have to return my receiver for this problem???

I have 0.9.2880 too.
For my free DTT channels the change time is about 3 or 4 seconds.
I can't say for paying one because I'm trying to solve my problem with iredeto cam.

on FTA channels there should be 2s-3s zapping time with channel UP and DOWN (CH+ and CH-).

Check youtube there are some new videos about zapping...

Heres zapping on sky it on mbox. I think zapping will be faster when the_ripper makes new mbox especially for azbox (no OpenXcas needed).
Also skin should be redone. I think skin is making this box slow too...

Yes, it's normal.


No, you don't need to return your box.

Do you have the resolution at "auto"? Then, may be, you have very long zapping time greater as 10 seconds.

Change the resolution to eg. hdmi 1080i and the zapping time would be normal.

This is a bug in firmware.
