hi all, just got a tm1500 but remote type has been set to type1,
this has made remote stop working ,can remote be programed to type 1 or can box be reset without remote ie new software or buttons on front

This is a difficult one to answer!

I know you cannot change the frequency of the remote control.

Even if the Remote Function in the TM-Receiver Has been set to Type 1

You should still have some Functionality

Should be able to use some functions on the remote control

Menu>
System settings>
Password>
0000>
Change remote type>
and change the remote type to type2
Exit & save.

Had the same problem quickets way around it is to buy new remote about £10.00 see link below

or borrow one from a friend or neighbor or take it to the shop and change the settings there, it is a lightweight box.
