I have a premium with internal HDD and latest software-
to be honest with you I am happy with this box as I use it mainly as a media player and freesat player and it plays everything from the net (including high def files).

SD recordings from the HDD are fine but when recording a high definition broadcast for the first time: BBC HD and playing this back the picture keeps breaking up and freezing (but no problem when watching live sat).

Is this a firmware issue or is it my internal HDD? I have a samsung 1Tb internal drive. If it is a firmware issue have others noticed this happening with external usb drives?

This was a known bug in firm 0.9.3180. I think it's best you update to fw 0.9.3281! ;)

I am using the latest firmware. I just wanted to know if other members have similar problems before trying another hard drive.

You are right! Thank you.
This fixed the freezing on HD channels such as bbchd- works perfectly now. I could not find a link on this forum but available on the net if you google (found on ***** site).
