Hi All ,

I'm looking to take the HD plunge . I've been through numerous posts and threads and it doesn't look like an easy choice to make . Obviously I'm used to the 7020S and it's basic workings .

I suppose the main question is money . I'm going to sell my 7020S on Fleabay and put the proceeds towards something "decent" . I'd like to spend around £350 max .

Just as an example I can buy a new ClarkeTECH 5000C HDTV Combo Plus here (in Spain) locally for about €260 all in (£235) .

I don't have any experience with this receiver so I'm not sure .

I'd like to be able to remove my existing 250Gb hd from my 7020S and put it in my new receiver . I don't know if most new receivers would playback the recordings (.ts) that I already have but it would be nice as I don't fancy having to convert them all . A small issue

Any info would be appreciated .

Sammy

The CT5000 is (almost) identical to the TM6900, so plenty to read up here about this type of rx. I have just sold my TM6900 and diablo on fleabay because I reckon it's not got much future as a setup (lack of new emu's for TM and Diablo losing its shine as the cam to have) and have just ordered a DM800.

Given you already have dabbled with a DM, why not consider a DM800?
