Hi all,

the nice time where I had a fix IP from my telecom-provider is over.

Now I will have a Dynamic-IP.

I already have an account with Dyndns where I redirect the trafic to my fix IP. But now, where I am going to have a dynamic IP, how or what exactly do I have to do with my Dreambox?

I read something about ddclient, but I have no idea how to install it on my box.

Could somebody give me a little push to arrange it?

THX

Regards Choco

is there no provision in your router for using Dyndns?

The Modem-router is Speedport 701V.

I do not know if its possible

nearly al do***entation is in German? If you have access to the routers webpage (settings) you should find something like Dynamic DNS server where you can fill in the required data? Check your manual? Or the help in the router webpage?

Why cant you just use inadyn in your box?
I am lucky not to have a dynamic address but have set several up for others.
Look in var/bin/inadyn_script.sh and edit your details.

That sounds really easy,

I just had a look at the file, will have a go when I am under dynamic ip and let you know.

THX a lot
