Yesterday I switched on my old Humax 5400 after a lot of time (I no longer use it since I bought and HD receiver) to test wheter it is still working. I carried out a lot of tests and only one component failed: the upper CI slot! For every CAM that I am inserting, the Humax keeps reinitialising it. If I go in the CAM menu, I am seeing 'Invalid CI module'. I opened the Humax to check if there are some bent pins in the slot but this does not seem to be the case, in fact all CAMs go in this slot without any problem. Last time I used this slot (around 8 months ago) it was working fine! Any ideas of what might be the problem and if this can be fixed?

Advisor, my problem is with the physical CI slot ! It has nothing to do with the emu.

If it was working and now not ..then i suspect a capacitor or a resistor failed.
Might be a good idea to check the power supply
