Hey, Just wondering if this is supposed to work? I can put my card in the cam in upper CI slot and it works but when I put the cam and card in the lower slot it doesn't decrypt pics. The cam is recognised and the card is recognised in the cam. Any ideas? For the record the card works in the embedded slot. Also I noticed the facia/front panel of the box sits up a bit making it hard to align the cam for insertion. I this normal?

AFAIK the cam slots have different operating voltages to cover different cams I don't have any smart cards to test, there was a problem with the cam slots not working with the Diablo cams on some Azboxes but mine does work with Diablo.

I also find it hard to get the cam into the cam slot, and other ppl have posted about this problem so yes it is normal...but I also have another make of receiver with the same problem...so it is not just a problem with Azboxes.

You cant I think but there is a free Repair Action by Impex Sat for Europe.
Old was Revision 3.0 and new should be 4.0 but I dont know if you can see on Mobo

If it's a newer box, then top slot is ok for Dragon Cam and bottom is ok for Diablo.:cheers2:

No, they work on different voltage.

AFAIK if the serial number of your Azbox HD is at least TD0071-095-xxxxxxx you've got the new revision so no need to repair it then. ;)

Well that's a bummer as i only have irdeto cards. Is there an irdeto cam that will work in the bottom slot? I'll have to get NewCS working so I can get the slot and/or an external reader.

Thanks. Looks like I have one of the newer boxes. Out of curiosity what's the fault with the earlier boxes?

The Diablo cam would not work with the earlier version of the box...and the owners needed to send their boxes back to the retailer/seller to be fixed...there is a long thread about the topic.
