Tomorrow im having me satellite system fixed and working, the system are these,technomate super hd 6900 combo, 90cm dish, cryptic mount, i've been quoted £120 for the job, Now i know im going to need a memory usb stick but dont know really what to go for, i've been told that i need one of these memory stick so i can install a patch into it so i can watch the likes of 1 west ect ect, 2rd where do i get the patch from plus the software to install it using the memory stick, at the moment i only have a dragon cam plus dragon card loader, plus what can i get with a 90cm dish, i live in leeds westyorkshire:party:

USB stick just for update patch or keys: an old 8, 16 or 32 MB stick already would do. It can also be done with a serial cable (null modem cable) or by Ethernet home network? What is the most convenient for you?

Hi Jim,

I don't live too far from Leeds with a 90cm dish. I get 1W, 9E, 13E, 19E, 28E. and with my diablo cam I get most of the digital stuff on 1W. You can normally get the premiership footy and also ppv boxing is normally on somewhere. Theres abit of **** on 1w and 4.8w and occasionally we get keys for some other stuff.

Since about a month ago we lost the main package on 19E which is a shame but there is still lots to go at.

I wouldn't buy a diablo cam at the mo because there's an ongoing debate being discussed whether its on its last legs or not.
I understand the softcams on the tm6900 opens some stuff on its own but I haven't compared with or without the diablo.

I think the future for tm6900 might be cs and I'm looking into this now.
I think I've got it cracked and I'm just in the process of testing it.

I forgot to mention usb drives. Firstly any old usb drive will do for transferring files to the stb as they are only small files.

Secondly , you will need an external hard drive for the pvr function. Make sure you get a passport style drive (that gets its power via the usb) as the drives with their own power supply tend to go to sleep and don't record when they are supposed to. I have checked and you can get one from pc world or ccl for about £50 for a 250gb drive, which is plenty really.

Diablo cam, and Dragon cam. not working. working but not doing what they used to. But do what joany said and use TM6900 patch you will be surprised what it opens.

you cant have a Cryptic V Bracket motor with a 90cm dish they only fit Orbital dishes which are 80cm and 1 metre

check the technomate 6000 forum , where it all should be for your box

ie:- we hide it under the make and model number ;)
