Tomtom one advice please

I am familiar with upgrading my Tomtom 300 but my question is regarding a Tomtom one.

I have been asked how to put America maps on to a Tomtom one.
The Tomtom one has a SD slot but doesn’t use it as the application and maps must be on the internal memory.
The application and maps are version 6 so if I was to put later software and maps on a SD card would the Tomtom one then boot from the SD card with the later software and Maps.
Also what would happen when the SD card was removed?

I don't know if it will work with 2 copies of Navcore on it ??
You could use Tomtom Home to update to the latest official version - which will then need patching. Then can add the latest maps which will need to be activated. Use Albert's activation tool which is posted in the upgrading your Tomtom thread.

I did one last week all you do is put everything on from memory except maps and put on a 2gb SD card then put Map on sd card and patch as usual it working great for my freind who is in Florida at the moment:respect-055:
