Playing around with the settings tonight I found a massive improvement in the HD pictures from my DM800 on a Samsung M86 LCD TV if I set the output from the rx to 1080i 60hz rather than 50hz...

Previously I'd been less than impressed with the HD output of the DM, but now it's as good as my old TM6900. Worth a try if you have a similar setup.

I always thought the 720p was the better setting but i have to agree the Hd output from the 800 is a let down

I also have to disagree , I ran it in HD onto a 19 inch goodmans tv for a while ( was all I had ) , then I settled on my new flat panel tv which was a sony W5500 and dont have any problems if I view HD content as opposed to SD , a simple case in point being the man utd match last wed on itv1 , much better on the DM800HD using HD than on freeview or the normal itv SD sat channel on the dm800, although I do tend to leave it on 720p 50hz for the HD channels
