New EPG Plugins question?

Hi Guys

Has anyone found these yet looked on many forums but no joy.

Sly IT SlyUK and Freeview PLUGINS are supposed to becoming available for latest 3501 FW.

would like to try otherwise I'll have to roll back firmware and I don't want todo that.

I'm under wife pressure.

When I tested it it was, as I reported too far ahead, I stopped going at some point, I gave up...

Total TV is in NDS, it also has EPG from here to eternity...

So, I rebooted now and am checking:

-$ l y IT
-$ l y UK
-Total TV

All now have just now and next.

Crazy. I have to go out but I will check it when I have the time...

Sorry, but you mean single EPG or weekly EPG?
I look for Weekly EPG for "$ l y IT", may explain to me how to do?

Having now got this runing UK Freesat appears to be ok. Sky UK not so successful.

I must be very lucky then. I got the sly uk EPG working. I think you need to make the buffer about 15MB and I selected just sly uk instead of all and it downloaded in about 5-7 minutes.

did sky UK poulate the BEEb and ITV channels as well when I tried I did'nt get itv or bbc2

It did populate both. I havent found a channel it didnt populate yet but I am sure it is only bcos I havent looked enough.

Hope ths is the last question. Anyone know which file contains the info as after a reboot lost all the info.

I am not sure that is possible for now. It is probably held temporarily and loses all the info after each reboot.

In /disk2 there are files named sky_uk.dict and sky_it.dict

in them seems to be a catologue of words and = commands like below

english dict

this would make this epg revolutionary and the best on any box
I will let you guys try and decide if this is possible as I have very little experience but could this be achieved??

This will work but there are letters that spell italian words.

The way huffman encoding works is

Take the name Mrs Slater

This could be broken into

Mr = 1000
s = 01
S = 01
later = 1001001

you change later for another word lets say into italian

That would make Mrs Slater = Sigs Ssuccessivamente

Give it a whirl but expect alot of weird entries.

But where is all EPG files? The config and the info files?
I can see only dictionary files.

Someone can select 7 days insted 3 days?
What about **** EPG? I tried to download many times, I can see epg data, but some channel haven't for example all "**** Cinema", all "Discovery", some "National" etc...

No massimo, as I said Total TV has 7 days EPG by default and no probs, no extra plugins necessary...

For the 3 mentioned 3 days is max and even that is a problem! Not easy to download it all...

In fairness Goran this is the first implementation of this. This is a big step forward. There will be improvements I am sure. Would be great to be able to schedule as a background task. If space is a problem I'd be happy to have just 24 hours of rolling EPG. Thats as far as I would normally look ahead anyway. 7 days is great but not a necessity.

I think background task is closer then we think, if you look in the config file there is an option for standy update currently set to -1 tried setting to 1 but is always over writen back to -1.

ok, I understand.
But the problem is the amount of data to store?
Why don't have the possibility to choice: what channel to download and where download( memory, usb, hdd)?
Now this file where is saved?

The reason its at 3 days is due to the sheer volume of EPG for Sky UK.

You could probably at a push get 7 days on Sky Italy.

This is due to the way the EPG is handled. It is all stored on the AZBox memory. I think the dev's are trying to get it so you can store it on your hard disk/usb. I could be wrong.

Storing on the HDD would be great, at least we wouldn't have to reload it everytime.
What I'd love to see would be the ability to store in on a NAS, that way both my AZBox's could access the same EPG data.

A good idea would be to be able to select what channels we would like to recieve the epg for
IE on the freesat I would only need bbc yorkshire rather than the ten or so others this would save a lot of memory.

Hopefully this will be possible somehow

When I read information from EGP, I can see the name of the event and also the start time and end time, I' able to reserve a event (to watch or to record), but there is a way to see the summary of the event?
