Does anybody know what the maximium file size is which I can transfer to the box via ftp?

Does the 3GB limit apply?

Thanks

If you transfer to FAT32 USB external the limit is 2 or 3GB... if you use ext3 it should work with bigger files. But I found FTP to be unreliable on AzBox it got some files corrupted. I always use SFTP to transfer files (might be even slower but at least no issues).

FAT=2GB
FAT32=4GB
EXT3= 128GB (not really sure)?
So 3GB Splitting Limit has nothing to do with Filetransfer FTP

Thanks all, I have tried twice to transfer a 8GB file to the HD each time with filezilla I got some sort of timeout and it failed.
Each time the file size was around 2.5GB, I am now watching the transfer which is 75% complete (6.5GB) and it is still running but the file size ls -l is still shown of the hard disk as 2.5GB. The disk is formatted as ext3 so I should be OK.
If and when it finished successfully I will let you know what it shows as the file size

Connection failed at 6 GB, but the file on the disk was still only 2.5GB trying now with SSH.
The file size show is now no longer static but is increasing as the transfer progresses as I would expect.

The only problem now is that with FTP teh tx speed was 1.2 MB/s now its only 300 KB/s. So no movie tonight
