Hello,

I,m looking at buying a tomtom however is it possible to download OS maps, if not is there another machine that will do this?

Can't put any OS maps on a Tomtom.

you can download selected parts of thew electronic o.s maps to a mobile phone or pds running windows mobile 6

just buy a PDA and put Memory Map on .


Memory–Map has a wide range of maps available for the UK including OS Landranger Maps and OS Explorer Maps, as well as marine, aviation and street atlases.

Or use a garmin device or pda running wm5 / 6. They call them TOPO maps. They limit them on mapsource on a pc ( no printing and limited viewing area ).
I have them on my Tmobile phone the only drawback is you ether have them or road maps not both at the same time, as you can only select one map type at a time. Still they are very good if walking or riding a bike.
