well ive had my dream for 18 months or so now nerver been able to get it to drive the motor had a new tuner from dream tried every image changed the motor still wont work
motor works no prob on other receivers feel like throwing it out the window
anyone any ideas please

ps when i install a new image for the first time the motor will drive to a selected sat but after that no movment at all

Are you using a vbox 2 ?

I think I read that the Dm800 has a lower amp power adapter and it struggles to drive some motors, if you have a dm500 you could try that power pack (it wont blow it, I have used it on mine)

As said, some motors aren't driven by the lower power in the dreamboxes... There is an "increase voltage" option in the settings somewhere, but I can't remember where. Maybe someone else can help. iirc, you have to go through advance setup, but not 100% sure...

You could try it on an m8's setup before you skid it down the road.

Menu Button > Setup > Service Searching > Tuner Config > Advanced ;)

what works for me on dm800 is to manually move (via button on motor)
to sat then save on dreambox as position 1 (or whatever)
dm doesnt drive motor well, but fine tuning ie step motor is ok
