Hi,
I really new to all this and i'm looking for some guidance on what can be done with my new Technomate 6800HD
I started looking around for firmware updates to see if i would gain anymore features. Reading all of the posts it seems that there is a lot that cant be talked about which makes at all the more confusing!
I applied a new firmware update from this site last night but im not too sure what, if anything, this has done.
Any help and guidance would be appreciated
Cheers
Paul
Welcome tallpaul10,
patch = modified firmware to do more with it (Emu = Emulation)
softcam = to do the work with the patch: opening channels you not supposed to have access to, kind of viewing card.
channellist = list TV & Radio channels of satellite positions, needed to suit your setup and to receive channels (not necessary opening them)
all discusions for the TM6000 HD series (Super or non Super) are here:
Technomate » 6000 series (https://www.satpimps.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=185) <= click here
please mention when you have specific question on your 6800HD if it is Super (+) or Non Super.
Never try loading patches for other boxes on your box even if these are for Technomate models this would result in a Technomate brick.

Hi Giga,
Thanks for your help:respect-055:, seems to make sense when someone who knows what thier talking about puts it in plain english.
Perhaps you could help me with updating my tm6800HD non super.
I've updated with this patch, (having saved my original settings first),
https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?t=114410
onto my unit and am now not sure where to go from here.
I am based in London and am using the Asrta2/eurobird satellite if this makes any difference.
Thanks.
