View Full Version : Channel searching using remote buttons
Is there way of searching for a channel on the 800 with the remote other than using your favourite list e.g BBC by pressing the 2 button twice and so on. In the 7020 it works a treat :respect-055:

Other thing to remember, is if using nabilosat image, then if you want to use the numbers to search, you will need to turn off the epg options under the blue panel, otherwise options like 1 is epg search, 3 is the multi-display bouquet thing etc...

Sorry for the late reply I am using Nabilosat 011 G2 and have since disabled all epg from Nabilosat E2 EPG settings panel, It does seem to work but not fully I think, lets say I want to bring up channel ORF I bring up channel selection and select all (red button) I can't seem to bring up O for ORF with the number 6 button ?

No mate
Nablio images dont provide this function, 'fraid it's the old scrolling method..... a pain or what!!!!
i would advise though, if you havn't already done so, is to set a a Favs list it makes life a whole lot easier.

How do you make a Favs list m8?

What a pain this is have already made a Fav list
the way I do it is select the channel you want to use from the channel selection list as a fav and simply press the menu button and add service to fav this can be found by selecting channel list and using blue button for fav menu
thanks canthackit

well the way i've done it for years is....wether it's the best way i dont know. but it's the way i know.
download your favourite settings mine is likra, load them with whatever settings manager you use.
now the next bit can take a bit of time but it's worth it.
delete the satellites you dont need, then you'll also have a FAVS list just delete and add channels as you see fit, move them around by dragging and dropping, when your happy save and upload.
me i list the sats i use thus 28.2E, 19.2E, 16E, 13E, 4.8E, 0.8W, 7W, 30W
then you can also move the folders around for your preference on each sat IE HD then MOVIES and so on....
that's enough to get you going, then all you do to select a channel is> bouquet button or >up/down button/then>blue button..... then just select whatever channel you want, easy innit:redface:

if ya wanted "C", you press 2 button once to select "2" button then a further 3 times [1=a 2=b 3=c] ;)
