No sound on TF1

Hello to the forum

I have a new TM 6800 Super +
Triax TD650 dish pointed at AtlanticBird5W
Sky Dish pointed at Astra 28.3E
Viaccess with Bis Panorama card for French TV

I'm pleased to say that everything is working fine except that I have picture but no sound on TF1 or Virgin 17

Anyone have any ideas as to why??

Check your frequencies

TF1 & Virgin 17
Freq 11555V SR 29950 FEC 7/8


I am guessing that you are tuned to the alternative transmission.

I have checked frequencies and thay seem to be correct. I also note that there is no problem with sound on other channels on the same transponder.
I note that on TF1 and Virgin the sound stream seems to be a different spec. In other words when selecting TF1 for instance I get a dolby symbol on the quality graphic on the screen. Unfortunately there appears to be no info on how to set this up in the manual....
Any ideas???

It is Dolby Digital Plus, a new flavour which I'm not sure is supported on the TM. Are you using the latest firmware?

Have just updated firmware to 688. No difference to sound!

have you pressed the audio button on the remote to see if their is more than one audio stream and you have the correct one selected?

Thanks Ed. With respect to audio streams and the remote audio button, yes I have.
I've tried Dolby, French, English etc. with no effect.
With respect to this excellent forum I've noticed that there are some "alternative" hacked firmware versions on the go & I was wondering if there was anything to allow decode of Dolby Digital + .......?

uploaded the 688 did you load the 688p?
have you setup your technomate and indicate where dolby should go?
Choices: PCM / Dolby SPDIF / Dolby HDMI
