I have a Azbox with DVB/C tuner, and ITSCOM CATV subscription. Can I use the Azbox at all? I am unsure to what kHz/mHz frequencies, symbol rate, QAM etc settings. The current STB hides all that information, plus it's in Japanese.

I have two cards, B-CAS, and C-CAS, and I guess they are using J-COM standard, whatever that may be.

I don't think the OP is asking how to CS the cable services...

AFAICS he is talking about using the AZBox in place of his cable receiver

This is no illegal question,guys!

B-Cas and C-Cas are only so called smartcards.
see; hxxp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B-CAS

For reception of this cable provider you can not use a
Dvb-C tuner,you need a Isdb-C-tuner for it.
Isdb-T Tuners for the azbox you can buy(brasil),but no Isdb-c
is available.
I will ask OS and find out what the differents are.

But also this tuner would exist or a modified isdb-t is possible,
you aren t able to clear the picture.
Problem is the used encryption "Multi2".
For that crypt-system is no seperate ci-module on the market and
from other solutions, i read nothing ,that they can handle this cards.

Ah interesting. So it can not do it right now, I would need to find a tuner that does not exist. Well, I'll just make sure my programs compile on azbox, that is all I can do - just a shame I can't use it.
