How-to External HDD [Archive]

I am trying to connect an external HDD to usb on the AzBox Premium, but I cannot record on it, and it is not recognized in the setup.
It is formated in FAT.
Please helpe me. I wanna check it before I open the case and put it internal.

Do this USB disk has its own power supply?
If not, than try an USB-hub with power supply!

It is formated in FAT.

It must be formated ext2 , and will works correctly. I use an 2,5" Samsung notebook HDD build into a Canyon external HDD rack. Works without external power supply, only with an USB cable.

In azbox menu there is a setting for format your HDD.It will format it to Linux so you will able to record with it

your right, didnt connect power supply.
I connected it internal, all is ok, but doesnt record enc channels.
