After seeing in last 7 months how new s/w behave regarding sat & multimedia features (new bugs with influence on each side) , I think that Opensat should make a new approach reagarding this receiver . They should consider it as a dual device with sat receiver & multimedia center capabilities . To do this it'll b a good idea to implement a dual boot feature to separate sat & multimedia , as long as u don't use both features at the same time . So , 4 multimedia one could use any solution that exists 4 the sigma based multimedia devices . In this way there will be no more restrictions regarding speed , bitrate , format , etc and we all hv the best multimedia features sigma proc. can offer . Than , the developers can put all efforts in the sat receiver part without the risk to f...k up multimedia side .

Worth thinking about i suppose ? but would that not effect the pvr side of things if you were going to record a programme on sat when your in multimedia boot ???

Recording & playing native .ts format is not a problem from months ago.
They can keep a minimal multimedia feature 4 this . All other multimedia features (speed , format , codecs , etc) should b used from other sigma devices like popcorn hour , egreat , etc .
