azbox cable tuner setup

Cable tuner should arrive in the morning.
Just wondering if anyone has this setup to recieve the free channels in the uk.
Is it ok to install in any socket?
What settings are needed to complete a scan?
how fast is switching between tuners?

Any other things need to be done??
