Hi guys!

Since many days I've got a problem to get correct signal on that transponder on Astra 19.2 E.
Anyone knows if CSat France changed some data?

Here's the data:

12670 V, SR 22000, FEC 2/3, DVB-S2, 8PSK

I've deleted the old tp and entered the data again. Sometimes I got lucky and the signal is ok and sometimes it doesn't work.
Fact is I just can't scan that transponder!

The Azbox HD can't get this signal correctly anymore.

Anyone can confirm that? :bigear:

Thanks

Hi,
OK I did an automatic scan of 19.2E for you and the box didn't find any channels from the transponder.

I then went to settings, selected the satellite & then the transponder manually, I 'marked it' and did a scan. It found the HD channels without any problem.

I can't see if they are 'showing' because they come up as scrambled but they are now on my channel list.

Normal manual scan? In what menu have you been exactly?

That's what I told. It's very strange.
I can't scan that tp. When I edit the tp the signal is sometimes OK but when I go back to manual scan the signal is gone.

I recognized that problem about a week ago. It must have been a week after they added new channels to that tp.
Did they changet it to a spot beam? I don't think so.

It would be of interest if other receivers have got this problem too. ;)

Step by step. I know you're not daft but this way there won't be any mistakes.

Press home, scroll to settings, press OK,

Scroll to TV Channel, right click to enter menu and tuner A.

Press OK, scroll to TP Scan and press OK

Scroll to 19.2 Astra. Press OK to open the transponder list.

Scroll up to 12699V 22000 , press the paper clip button to mark the transponder for scanning.

Press OK and up pops the 'check and scan' menu.

Press OK and it will scan the transponder and find the HD channels for you.

is Motors TV in this Package?
If yes, changing transponder on 19.10.09

So normal "TP Scan". That's what I wanted to know. Well, I've tryed that, of course, but no luck here.
The only way to get a good signal is when editing the tp by switching Pilot on and off. Sometimes it works then. But back to menu "TP Scan" the signal never shows up.
It's always the same thing: "Strength" is high but "Quality" equals zero!

What changes? I don't know about the packages but this is a HD tp so Motors TV is not in this tp.

Do you or a neighbour (on the other side of your wall) have a DECT 'phone near your receiver?

They can sometimes cause interference and wipe out a transponder. I've seen that with my own eyes when a friends 'phone wiped out Eurosport (a long time ago) on his receiver.

By moving the 'phones base station away from his receiver he manged to get a good signal. That might be worth a try.

@Micko50

DECT uses frequency bw 1880 to 1900 MHz.
12699 - 10750 = 1949MHz which is out of the DECT frequency range.

Yes, I know DECT can cause problems but this is not the case here.

It would be helpful to know if that's a Azbox HD problem or if other receivers have got problems with that transponder too. :)

It was a long time ago, I don't remember what frequency Eurosport was on way back then. It might even have been an analogue cordless 'phone.

@Aragos

I'm fresh out of ideas so I'll bow out of this thread now. I only know my box has found the channels every time every time I have scanned that transponder. I just tried again and they scanned in alright. As I said earlier I can't see them because they are scrambled.

I hope you get it sorted.

DECT uses frequency bw 1880 to 1900 MHz.
12699 - 10750 = 1949MHz which is out of the DECT frequency range.

that is correct for the KU band LNB input frequency band. The LNB output frequency uses L band cable and this is a range between 950 Mhz and 2150 Mhz this varies between the type/brand LNB. And yes these overlap the mentioned DECT frequency, GSM and Speed Radar, ...

not in this particular case. I've rolled back to 0.9.2880 and it can see that tp.
Actually it can detect it in all modulations which is odd. DVB-QPSK, DVB2-QPSK, 8PSK

Its the fw issue I guess.

your problem is maybe the video pid? other receivers have issues with these
Freq: 12669
Polarity: V
Symbol Rate: 22000
Transmission: DVB-S2 8PSK
Fec: 2/3
Pilot: off
VPID
Brava HD: 16547, SID's: 9904, 9924
Eurosport HD: 16546, SID's: 9903, 9923
Penthouse HD: 16548, SID's: 9905, 9925
Sci Fi HD: 16545, SID's: 9902, 9922
Ushuaia TV HD: 16544 SID's: 9901, 9921
currently all receiving strong signal and scrambled.

@ Aragos, I think you should try scanning 12669, V, 22000, and not 12699 as was quoted to you, I have scanned 12669 and get about 13 HD channels, on the Azbox you have to get the frequence spot on and 1 digit will lose the channels.

Aragos

I know Micko meant 12669, it was just a mistake.

So in some Azboxes it works but in others it doesn't?

Very strange. Still no go for me. And it's not about the video pid! lol
If it was I would get at least a signal.
I deleted my old channel list and made a new one so I don't have these channels listed yet.
And I can't scan that transponder! Even if I got a signal in the menu "TP scan" it's only for a short time because right before the scanning the Box loses signal and try to receive it again for scanning. It seems hopeless.

Everything was fine but that problem occurred suddenly about 2 weeks ago.

So other boxes don't have any problems with that tp?

Giga

looks like your loosing a signal to the lnb?
Do you have a switch between the box and lnb? just test that 1 lnb.
Motorized setup? point dish to that satellite. Switch power off on the box (not standby) take the sat cable direct to the lnb? see if this works?
if results stay the same, what did you change or changed in your environment? Has some mobile operator planted a new mobile phone mast in your area? ...

Oh come on! I don't have any problems with my hardware. Every transponder is working fine expect this one.

Read the messages and you will see I'm not the only one having problems with that tp.
I think C+ France changed something depending on this tp and the Azbox FW is having problems with that.

Not for me, mate. ;)

Are you all using the newest FW?

I don't have any new ideas now.

@tx0

Do you still have problems with that tp and current FW, too?
