Hi guys,

Im on the lookout for a new media player with pvr option & MKV support. After many reviews on other players such as the ZoltarTV, DViCO 6600N to name a few, i came across this page http://www.o2media.es/en/azbox_premium

i am very close to buying it from a seller in holland ( my girlfriend lives there :respect-056: ) but i have a few questions and would really appreciate any help.

1. I would like to install a 1.5TB hdd, is this possible ? some websites it states 1TB max, and others say 2TB - ex. http://www.**************.eu/de/shop/DVB-S_Sat_digital/ART00760_Azbox_HD_Premium_1500GB. html

2. How easy is it to transfer new media files from a windows pc, to the azbox's internal hdd ? Also is it fast or slow at transfering ? A friend has a ZoltarTV media player and its very slow at sending a file.. maybe 1 hour for a 6gb .mkv file.

3. What is the player currently able to do as a pvr ? can it record TV in the background and watch a divx movie at the same time ?

4. Last Question, How well do MKV files play ?

Thanks guys, looking forward to your answers :)

Answers:
1.maximum suported size of internal hdd is 1t
2.file transfers from PC to box last for eternity
3. multitasking is not supported by now
4. first 5 min.-to 30min file go great and then problems begining

If you want to buy this stb /so called media box/ only for multimedia reason, my suggestion is to find some other box

I agree, the Azbox has too many limitations at present to use a Media Player.

The Azbox has the same processor as the PCH110 (a dedicated Media Player) but it is far, far behind the PCH in firmware develoment.
