I have connected my AZbox to my prologic surround amp using the optical audio cable. Sound is working fine but I am not getting surround sound.
BBCHD tests to check the surround only use the front speakers.
Is there a setting somewhere I missed?

A second question: I have a internal SATA drive for recording. When I plug in my USB hard drive to copy files, I cannot "see" it. When I go to STORAGE to format it, I only see the SATA drive.
Any ideas?

TIA

HDMI here: Panasonic Home Theatre, Pana Plasma TV full HD, Pana BluRay Player + AZbox HD, obviously, all cool! ;)

OK, so when I update my amp I'll be fine :coolgleamA:

... but surely the optical audio output provides surround sound?
Anybody try it?

Could you explain how is your connection please Goran, I have Sony Bravia 1080i Full HD TV, Sony Home Theater Dav DZ 230 and TM6900HD Super Plus.
Now problem is I can't seems to get the HD sound through the Dav DZ230, I can only get sound and picture if I change the TV settings from Audio Speaker to TV Speaker. Is there anyway sort this issue out I wonder, am I missing something or doing something wrong???

BBCHD transmits in 2 channels only.

sometimes during movies it is in 5.1

Sorted it. I think BBC-HD is always surround as it is only previews now and my amp is now working in full 6-speaker mode.

What did I do?

Set the Audio settings to
Dolby Digital
Raw
Raw
Raw
Raw
RF Mode

It is either the RF Mode (for Dolby Digital Mode) or one of the RAW settings that did it :cup-006:

Can anyone answer my USB hard drive question?
If I already have a SATA drive installed, how can I see/format my USB drive?

In WinSCP, I can see recorded files on the SATA drive but again, cannot browse over to my (FAT32, not Linux) USB drive.

TIA!
