the latest firmawre is supposed to let us watch one channel while recording another, is it just via the internal drive, as i am useing a external usb drive and it dont work. if its only internal drive then i will have to install one. help cheers.:07::07:

Just checked it with internal drive.
It works on FTA channels pretty well. Only on same transponder, of course.
Recording is fine.
When you do it on encrypted channels the recording shows freezers first and then it's stopped to decrypt the channel. So it doesn't work for encrypted channels (yet).

Oh, yes. That's possible. I was testing my local with newcs and mbox.

I can record (encrypted) and watch (encrypted) and change channel within the same transponder, but I can't record two channels on the same transponder, how come? I use USB-flash for testing...
Is the second encrypted channel decrypted via software? It takes maybe 3-4 times longer to open a channel when one is recorded and one is watched (encrypted)... I shall test unencrypted tonight and see if it's the same situation...

Update... FTA
Switching from recorded channel to other channel on same transponder is as fast as regular switching, but switching back to recorded channel takes longer almost as long as between recorded (encrypted) and other encrypted channel on the same transponder... So it might be a USB-speed limit issue, changing back to other FTA is fast agian.
