I seem to have lost Thor 0.8W in my programs (all greyed out), yet the sat shows up when I go to 'satellites' in the menu, and is there when I look at the list of sats for receiver 'A' in the setup menu.

Can anyone explain how to get it back? I may have inadvertantly overwritten the satellite.xml file by updating recently to get all the new providers etc in a new sat.xml file, but as i have not checked 0.8W out for a while it's only now that I'm finding out.

Also
I'm not quite sure how the lamedb and sat.xml file link together or how to get a new sat.xml to work with my lamedb?
I use dreamset to view them but am not sure how to edit the xml in there, (I know you can right click on the sat.xml in the left hand pane and then choose edit to be able to view/edit the file, but what do I do to get it working?, there must be a setting in one of the sats or something that links across to the lamedb I should think.

Or is there a way to create a new lamedb & xml.sat with all the new providers in?

I haven't used your image but the same problem happens with Nabilosat.
In this case they call 28.2E (Astra, Eurobird) 28.4E in the sat.xml file which results in channel list being greyed out.
I am guessing that yours would have 0.8W shown as 1.0W or similar.
Again I have never used dreamset or any other editing programs I always prefer to use my own sat.xml file and scan in the channels manually.
This is because I prefer my channels to consist of ones that I know the box can tune and not others that someone in another part of the world has compiled.
I usually download a sat.xml file from here hxxp://satellites-xml.eu/ containing just the satellites I need then FTP to var/tuxbox (from memory)
Once you have the channels you are happy with they can easily be transferred to another image buy saving the lamedb file from var/etc/enigma2 (again from memory which is not too good lol)
After you have overwritten the lamedb file it is best to restart E2 from telnet with command killall -9 enigma2, this is essential if you have added ITV HD for instance, a normal reboot will restore the old settings.

I checked the settings for Thor last night and if I remember correctly it shows it as 1.0W, I'm in work at mo but will double check when I get home tonight.

Use dreamedit - it sorts out where the files should be!
Make sure the tuner is available - can't remember off-hand where it is in the menu, but needs to be the same settings (0.8W) as the channel info.
You can download new sat xml filkes (do a search on here), the name of each sat has to be the same as your menu entries - or you can start again & re-scan.

Thanks oldfart i'ts sorted now, I had to change the settings in dreamedit from 1.0W to 0.8W.
I'll have a look at that script that overwrites the sat.xml with your own when you do updates (in the Oozoon tips thread).
